Yeah that belt is a bitch to get on. We had one guy stand on the idle pulley while I slipped the belt on.

One of these weekends I go home, I think I'm gonna repaint my supercharger. Not gonna split it apart, cause I'm not gonna plug the silencer holes. Being a ported blower, I think it will be quite a bit louder anyways.

I will definitely refer to this thread as well as others.

Keep the vids/pics coming!!!

there is a vendor with a tool for that PITA. 100 dollars but it's worth it if you're going to be taking the charger off and such.

One of the guys that helped with the install has the belt tensioner tool, but it wont work on my car. The tool is suppose to bolt to the black bracket thing at the top of where the idler pulley is, as you can see we had to take it off because it was in the way.

I have no clue how it works lol I was just told it wasn't going to work because we needed that black bracket for it to bolt up to to compress the idler pulley down

thats correct.

Basically, it bolts up to the black bracket part, and then you just stick a socket wrench on it and start turning. It slowly pushes the tensioner down. Its incredimly easy, amazing, and allows one person to install a belt.

Where does one come across one of these tools?

I'm used to tensioners where you just put the socket on it and turn...

well time to put the car back together :p

ok just spent some time putting everything back together, and im pissed, i line the h/e perfectly center'd just like the radiator, well when i put the bumpr back on it wasnt center'd, not at all, its 1.5" offset to the right, ans the massive h/e required a "cutting sheer" mod...
