Magnaflow or GMPP Performance

im going to be lowering my car next week which leads me to my project after my car is lowered which is to get an exhuast.
i have to wait till i get my tax return back to use some of the money to pay for it but the 2 exhaust's i have narrowd it down to are Magnaflow or GMPP performance.
i dont want anything too loud because cops love to pull people over for loud exhausts. not all the time but if it has to be done they do it.

what one should i get.
i kinda want the gmpp but am still unsure.

If you are worried about noise/dB level, then go with the GMPP. It passes all inspection laws and requirements. Magnaflow will probably have a better sound quality. Both are great exhausts.

if you have a header and a catless dp its VERY loud, thats what im running right now til i get a dynomax super turbo muffler.

i got an exhaust ticket with just my magnaflow muffler though before i put my header and dp on, so if the cops are the same there as they are here, you might wanna go with the GMPP if its more quiet then the magnaflow. good luck!

yeah all i have is a intake. no headers or dp
my friend has magnaflow and i really like it. but i wanna drive his car to hear it hands on
i have heard some gmpp's and they sound good. while others sound like ****

one thing i dont really like is the magnaflow tip. thats why i want gmpp because the straight cut tip looks sick

I heard the GM Touring exhaust is actualyl smaller than our stock S/C exhaust. Therefore we'd lose power.

it is smaller (2.25"), but flows a lot better than the stock lsj catback. it becomes restrictive for a high horsepower lsj, but a GM Stage 2 car will see a gain in power from it. hell, some guys with a tvs are rocking the gmpp touring exhaust and making 300+ whp. remember bigger is not always better. exhaust gas velocity is just as important as flow.

i had my car for a year and a half when i got pulled over for the 1st time in it for the loud exhaust and that muffler was on there the whole time. i took off from a light with the cop right behind me and i shifted at 2500rpms and he pulled me over and gave me a $75 ticket for it.

yeah. well the gmpp exhaust is still going to be loud at higher rpms/ WOT

i still cant decide. i am waiting for my friend to let me drive his car with the magnaflow.
i think magnaflow may be a little too much. bc i have my share of ******* around on open streets i just cant afford to get pulled over. i mean just cruising gmpp and magnaflow will still be good.
i want a few more people with each exhaust to tell me how they like it and all that

GMPP sounds good. Even if for whatever reason you were ever to get a header & catless DP, it would sound nice with no raspy tones.

Not to thread jack, but let me ask you this: whats the difference between the GMPP Performance exhaust and the GMPP Touring exhaust? both are listed for the same price on a website, so im guessing there cant be that much of a difference?

touring is quieter/better muffler. f you plan on getting a header in the future, get the touring.
