Well, that's odd - looks like when I put it into L, I still get traction controlled...where it limits the RPMs cause it's spinning too much.

Looks like that's getting turned off completely.

So, what is your guys' idle quality like?

I can feel the car idling, but it's not like it's missing.

it feels...heavier..than stock. Otherwise, its the same. It also sounds harsher on cold starts

Yeah - you can hear my supercharger a little, but when it warms up, it's fine. Which seems normal.

Okay - so my idle is normal then. I can't see my needle move, so I think it's good.

All righty, so Vince tweaked my tune a little to richen up WOT, could possibly go a bit more - but holy **** the difference that made...I don't even know how, but it feels much faster...

Still trying to figure out this other issue I'm having...cause I can put the pedal down about half and PE will kick in, but usually if I nail it from there - PE turns OFF...

I also was thinking about possibly switching gauge clusters in the future to an SS unit, so I can have a bit higher reading of speed, since my car will certainly go over 120 (with tires that are rated for above 120)...does Vince have to change something for the new cluster or will it just work?

i dont believe theyre compatable, as the LSJ and L61 use different architecture ECM/BCMs. You're best bet for a plug and play swap would be one from a LNF, as they also use a CAN bus syetm

So I should be okay with an '07 SS/SC cluster then?

are you referring to the LSJ 160mph, or the 140mph one, because the LE5 also uses a CAN bus system, whereas the LSJ uses a PT bus

So...plugs...

Will NGK BKR8EIX Stock number 2668 work?

Or is there something else that would be recommended?

I only have 37k on the stock plugs, when should they be changed? Maybe I should pull them and check the color.

When you went SC you were supposed to change them. I bought the plugs suggested in the how-to and found out yesterday that they are also 1 step colder so it is a plus. I ordered them from Amazon.com because it was a good deal with shipping.

Casey mentioned he ran his stockers for a while.

Are the ones you got Iridium? What gap did you run?

They are not Iridium. I believe they are copper or something as they say that is better for supercharged cars. I left the gap at .040. Many use variants between .035 and .040. Mine seem ok where they are though.

Man - gotta update this ****.

Been a while - but I think the tune has finally been fixed, as I haven't had that roll-into-WOT lean out anymore! Who knew that breaking the law could fix so much ****. Going 110 back from B-dubs tripped a MAP High-voltage code. I had Vince tune out the MAP high voltage check, as well as traction control - and bam, the Power enrichment issue went away (hopefully).

...and no traction control is amazing - though it still seems to cut me off after a while anyways, but it doesn't seem to be as early anymore...

My front Continental tires had 1/16" of tread left, so I decided it was time to get them replaced.

Bought some Yokohama AVID Touring-S 195/60R15s from Discount for $63 a tire (totalled ~$160 all mounted, balanced and installed).

Nice to have some tread - maybe I'll see a mileage increase too...

Here's a video I just took today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaC8toplr28

That ticking is the injectors, I believe - my camera really picks up the sound, cause it's nowhere near that loud...

Yeah - the reason I went with such a high treadwear is cause these will end up being my snow tires.

And they actually aren't that much different from my almost-slick-like Continentals. But 15" rims with tires are gonna spin for the most part regardless.

now, the rim size plays a factor here...but my 18's with a 215/35 (old tires) are the exact same size as the stock 15" steelies /w stock high profile continentals. With the continentals, i can spin out anywhere in 1st gear, whereas with my Nexen's, i wont break traction unless im doing less than 15mph

One thing I've noticed is my belt is really squeaky when it's cold out...
