hey man thats why you suppose to drive on a highway or something not in a neighborhood. lol but glad your liking the sc. thats how my car was when i first took it out. but now you need better tires that are performance tires so you get traction. also take it to redline to find out how much boost you got.
and can you type down all ur mods? like wat kind of header and exhaust you got.

Well, he clocked me at 45 in a 25...when I was slowing down.

He gave me a 5 over, which is 2 points and $125.

Some people tell me to go fight it to try and drop the points - but I've talked to one of my friends who is kind of a mini-cop, and he agreed with me that I should be grateful of what I was given. There's the possibility that the points could be dropped - as well as the possibility that I could get a careless instead...which is 3 points, and more money...

With this noise the blower makes...I really don't know what it is. It seems to become almost nonexistent when the car has warmed up for a while...but cold it's loud...I threw some octane booster in, but that didn't help, so I don't believe it's spark knock.

Any ideas?

I honestly didn't expect that much of any increase...

Mods...

Umm.

What mods? Stock exhaust all the way to the engine.

u should be able to take defensive driving, the fee is less if you take a defensive driving course, than use that money u saved for the course, and you wont get points and the ticket gets throw out, you can only do this once a year...

Yeah with the LSJ you have to have at least 89 octane. I always put 89-98 octnce in mine. Yes, 98. Here it's about $8.95/gal so I only put a few gallons in it. But anything lower that 89 you'll hear knocking.

Yeah. I'm thinking of writing a letter to the judge, I've heard some good outcomes from that, so I'm hoping that'll help me get off with no points.

We don't have driving school here...

Yeah. I had about half a tank of 87 and half a tank of premium. I put in some (half a bottle) octane booster yesterday, but it didn't help.

Well, it's 93 here.

I've got about a quarter tank left, so I think I'll fill up, and throw in the rest of my octane booster anyways, and then run that tank to the end.

I have been in your situation before about the ticket. I was actually in the same situation twice.

I simply stated that while I may have been going a little fast, I apologize for doing so and I will be more careful next time. I just want to get out of this with the least amount of trouble I can.

Both times I was given the fine and a 3111a, which is failure to obey traffic device. They still get their money and you don't get any points.

I was just very polite and very truthful.

Took my dad out for a spin in it today, he's very impressed.

However, I noticed, as I pulled in the driveway that it had thrown two codes:

P0171: History SES Current Stored: Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1

and

P0532: AC Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage.

The first one is understandable, I mean, it coulda popped lean or something. Tomorrow I plan to take it out and datalog for Vince and see if he can dial this sucker in.

The last code really confuses me...I didn't even mess with the AC...

There is something wrong with this supercharger...I don't know what it is, but the sound is just aweful in gear. It's weird too...it's not constant, it sounds like a cammed car, like there'll be about 2 seconds of the noise, then a little pause then noise, pause.

I uploaded the noise to my youtube account. First sitting in my driveway (I think it was in idle, but maybe in reverse with my foot on the brake, can't remember), and the second is driving in the neighborhood, you can hear it horribly at 1500 or so...it's embarrassing...

Also, I noticed the car developed a high pitch whine (almost like blower whine but REALLY loud), but I have no idea where it's coming from...and it's intermittent as well...maybe it has to do with the AC?

All I can say now, is I'm on the look for a new supercharger...hopefully I can get one and get it on before this next Saturday..otherwise I'm going to be missing another Meet and Greet...

I would double check the sensor is connected, wire not off, crushed... etc.

Did you clear the lean code?

There are a couple of SC's in the FS section, you should ****** one up! I wouldn't trust that thing anymore.

Yeah - it seems to come back. I've datalogged about 3 drives for Vince, so I'll send those files to him here, and see if he can tweak the tune a bit...

I've sent about 2 or 3 PMs about the Supercharger. Miles don't really matter as long as everything is working good, right?

I would certainly try and get one with less miles. The 40's and 50's seem to be high as far as the miles you can get them with on here.

eaton blowers are known to outlast the engines theyr eon several times over, but if the price isnt a lot different, it never hurts getting a newer one
