All right...

Here's the new boost nipple...

I heard the old one was welded in or something, and I didn't want to drill it out, since that's a direct port to the intake, and I don't want metal shavings in there...so my dad came up with the idea to put the new nipple in upside-down - and it worked great.

JBwelded the bottom:

Plastic Welder:

Cut/dremeled out stock boost gauge mount on my 3-pillar (not sure why this was on there...):

Epoxied the fitting into the coolant reservoir:

Boost Gauge placed into the gauge pod. I like the look.

I'll throw an update on before I head back outside.

Connected the spaghetti line to the new nipple via the rubber boot supplied:

Threw some loom on there, so it didn't look so shitty:

Supercharger, Throttle Body and Air Intake elbow (cleaned up a bit) back on:

Delivery Guy dropped off something...

Gauges installed into the pillar. Had to move the Voltmeter and Boost gauge all up one, cause the Innovate AFR gauge would only fit in the bottom slot.

Extended the Voltmeter harness, and wired/connected the spaghetti line to the Boost gauge. Dropped the AFR harness down, re-mounted pillar:

So, Dexcool 50/50 and a bottle of water wetter in the engine, and just Dexcool 50/50 in the heat exchanger. Sound about right?

So, to bleed the H/E, I should just turn it on, let it run for a little while, then let the air work it's way out of the system (via reservoir?).

50/50 in engine
water+watter wetter in heat exchanger, if it freezes in ur area a lot, use a bit of coolant, the less coolant the better

Oh, well, I put like 3/4 of the bottle into the engine, the other quarter will go into the heat exchanger. Both circuits will be running Dexcool 50/50.

Got some more work done.

My dad is [hopefully] going to help me wire up the Wideband tomorrow, cause I know he'll do a much cleaner wiring job than I would.

Epoxy > RTV

Tested for leaks in the reservoir, none - installed.

The hose runs behind the washer reservoir, quite nicely, too...

Got some clamps to put on my air intake (bottom one just needed a lock-nut)

Time to top off the engine; 3/4 of the bottle of Water Wetter and about half a gallon of Dexcool 50/50. I love cold fill lines!

Freshly painted reservoir cap (was red) - Krylon Fusion works really, really well (thanks Gene!):

Since at least the boost and voltmeter gauges are hooked up, checked out the light show at night. Sexy.

I really wish the Innovate had a silver bezel, but it's not a big deal - kinda stealthy...

I've been following this project since the beginning! You have done an outstanding job dude! I wish I had the knowledge to do all that stuff myself.

just my personal opinion but you should tap that tank on the side as well for a return line

with the cobra he which doesnt have a bleeder line its gonna be a pain in the ass to get all of the air outta the system

It'd probably work better, but it'll look a lot worse.

Not to mention, I already have the Tee setup and I wanna get the car running tomorrow. So maybe when I swap reservoirs, I can do that, but otherwise, I dunno if I can really afford to change the whole setup around...

I guess I can just hope for the best...

Initially I was trying to decide between the two options and went with the Tee because of the cleaner look...maybe I shouldn't have...oh well...

yeah I went with the T and I am having a hell of a time keeping air out of my lines without a bleeder line.

but maybe you'll have better luck

You know what, I was thinking about it, and I'm just gonna do it. How I have my T, the line from the reservoir runs down and then back up, to the Tee...

I'll just run a return line and make things easier for myself.

Thanks.

Pictures...

New heat exchanger lines:

Glad I got rid of the Tee...not sure it woulda worked well:

Newly epoxied reservoir:

Plumbed up again:

Put some coolant in:

My dad helped me wire up the LC-1

Belt On - I LOVE the PulleyBoys tool:

Gauges:

Well...fired it up right after, first untuned (cause I forgot to load the tune), and then tuned. Runs smooth - BUT, the supercharger rattles at idle - the infamous coupler has gone. So I'm going to order a ZZP coupler which is supposed to last longer, and then I can see what type of AFRs I'm running. Not going to bring it out today, just to be safe.

Here's the video of the first startup without a tune (you can hear the rattle at idle):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QHNSFKDQMg

Second startup, with tune (When I said 20 pounds of boost, I meant Vacuum):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNnNpSFCkzc

So, looks like it'll be down for a few more days.

that lean part towards the end of ur second vid is just cause the throttle closed really fast. AFRs will always be weird when pressing/depressing the throttle for a split second. The car can only adjust to new airflow rates so fast

All right. That makes sense to me. It'll probably be fine in gear then.

The heat exchanger circuit only ate up like half a gallon of coolant - does this seem right? I looked at the car's manual, and it said the stock SS H/E circuit runs like 2 quarts or something, so it seemed fine for me - if so, that's sweet, cause that means I won't need the other gallon of coolant...

I noticed I was only seeing like 10 or 11 psi of boost...but with it being in Neutral, it was so quick, I couldn't tell...

Few more pictures I took before hitting up Woodward:

I lovelovelove the Pulleyboys Tensioner Relief Tool:

The engine bay - complete. Too bad the supercharger is coming off...again:

Gotta remember to torque those lugs down...maybe I should just take the tire off...

Gonna order the ZZP coupler, along with 6oz of SC oil, since that seems to be what the amount is to fill?

Also, here's the video I took in-car with my phone during the first startup without a tune. Not the best, but it catches the revs good...

you cant really see peak boost too well in neutral. the engine needs to have a load against it IE be in gear
