Mine did the same thing all last winter when startup temps were below 50F. It only squeeked for a minute or so though, just til the engine bay warmed up.

So, I wasn't supposed to do anything with the alternator, right? I mean, it seems to work just fine, but I remember reading about flipping wires earlier in my thread...

Someone said that the SC setup changes the direction of the alternator, but I haven't had any issues and if you haven't, then I would let it go.

it does. The LSJ alternator has a clutch and only spins in one direction, but the L61/LAP/LE5 alternator can spin in both directions, so you dont need to do anything. Since it makes AC voltage, it doesnt matter if the wires are swapped or not either

Ahh, good to know!

Out of curiosity, what type of gas mileage were/are you getting, Casey?

The supercharged Cobalts do not use an intercooler - they use a heat exchanger, and the heat exchanged pump runs the coolant through the heat exchanger and the intake manifold.

IC pump in this case would just be incorrect terminology for the heat exchanger pump.

The Interceptor will not read IAT2 unless you use the stock lsj 2.5b tmap sensor and rewire it into the maf, where you can read it as iat1(even though you are actually seeing iat2 numbers). This is for the 2.2/2.4 only.

the heat exchanger pump goes inside the heat exchanger pump bracket which bolts on to piece 906 in the above picture.

and no, no one runs the extra coolant tank (option B) AND the stock filler neck (option A). at the same time. the whole point of running the option B tank is to replace the opt. A neck.

Went and washed the car at a quarter wash to get all the salt and **** off. Still isn't like a good handwash at home, but it does the job.

Finally, a video. Sounds better in real life than the video. I really like the sound inside the car.
