New Ebay Header, Anyone Tried it?

It looks like a Badmab replica but costs about 130 shipped instead of 180? Wondering if the 50 bucks you save is worth it? Its cheap enough I might just try it for ***** and giggles if no one has...

I wouldnt get it just because it goes 4 into 1, mine goes 4-2-1 which flows a lot better

You can do what you want, but what you have to look at is their customer service. If something goes wrong with the product will the company be there to help you out?? It looks like they don't really offer any kind of warranty either.

I've purchased items from Ebay in the past with mixed results. As CobaltLs505 stated I got my start on Ebay, but I ALWAYS make customer service a top priority. I can't tell you anything about these guys though.

And if you are looking for a good price on our header check with badnewsracing.net (I think the screen name is ricecop). They are a dealer of our and they are always running specials.

He doesnt have the header listed on that website, but I understand what you are saying. I was just seeing if anyone tried it. I know when I owned my civic the $60-70 two piece "ebay" header was the best mod you can buy. I just dont want to buy this and have the welds break or blow a hole through it if they use too thin of steel. I know your header is good, and I wouldnt have a problem paying the price but if this works just as well Im not going to spend more than I have to.

The ones on ebay have been there well before Bad Mab was around, they look identical. Price is so similar also.

Afraid not. We have all the CAD drawings that our engineers drew up a while ago so the one we sell is 100% ours.

I purchased a CAI from one of the ebay dealers just out of curiosity one time to see what they were all about. It was a little to thin for my taste, but probably fine for a cold air system. I hope they wouldn't make the headers that thin though because I couldn't see it holding up.

Orly?

Do you have flow results to prove this??

A proper 4-1 shorty, midlength, or long tube will flow just fine. There is more into a header than just flow fyi.

Brad is a good guy.

I've been running his shorty header for the LSJ on my car for a few months now, and I love it! We also have a member who dyno tested it when he installed it, and made some nice power from it.

ive heard bad things about bad mab in general, like the fit and finish looks terible on some of them, so this header may well be rejected bad mabs. like most say, you get what you pay for..

So you are saying that you have no relation to the Cobalt Addiction or any ebay header that have been in production for several years?

4 puppies and a kitten were just killed because you said this.

A 4 to 1 will almost always be able to flow more air. A 4 to 2 to 1 will, if properly designed, have more scavenging effect. And if very well designed a 4 to 2 to 1 will flow as much air as a 4 to 1. What does this mean in the real world? Take 2 decently designed headers, the 4 to 1 will make more peak power, the 4-2-1 will make a bit less peak power but have a wider power curve. An exceptional 4-2-1 will make the same peak power as a comparable 4-1 but also have a fatter power curve.

yes, that's the way I understand it. However the punch line is that this is much more relevant for an N/A engine than a F/I engine. An F/I engine is not as finicky with exhaust.
