on any aftermarket/custom tune, you can set it to turn on as soon as you key on. no need to test power from the ecu. let's try that instead.

if for any reason it doesn't turn on as described, it's likely you have a dead ic pump
I've done that. about 5 times just today and I dont hear anything. If my pump is dead, wouldnt my IAT's go sky high when jamming on it?

then by all means, power test it... since you're obviously one up on everybody else on these forums

My IAT's are usually always 125-130, cold or hot outside, doesn't matter.

Anyone know where the bottom bolts are for the LSJ intake manifold?

theres only 1 bottom bolt, it's an 15 mm (i think) and it's easiest to get to coming from the passenger side towards the drivers side. sometimes it's just easier to remove the alternator, to see and access it easier, but i have gotten used to doing it without removing the alternator

Well I need my whole intake manifold off. So it's one bolt. 15mm. And the alternator has 3 bolts correct?

from the alternator? yeah, I am replacing that as well so it's coming out anyway. I still can't seem to get the manifold off though.

Per the Stage III manual, they cited that it was not done in order to simplify assembly.

In other words, they didn't trust the assembly line workers to not screw it up and also probably didn't want to pay the extra money for the extra plumbing.

Plus anyways, they could make more money by selling the GM performance Dual Pass endplate and Option B parts for their usual "rape yo ass w/o lube" price.

Also there is a bolt in the left side of the IM that took me forever to find. If you are looking at the motor it's on the left and kinda hidden. Did you get that bolt out yet?

only thing i can think of is he didn't take the one dipstick bolt off, or he left the 2 e-torx rods in it thinking that the nuts were all that was holding it on

Like stated above there is one hidden behind the IM that mounts it to the motor, a pain to get to!

Well I have a 2.2 with the LSJ intake manifold on it. So would my dipstick be bolted to the manifold?

No the intake manifold is what I can't get off. I have the top bolts off but can't seem to get the bottom one out. I got the alternator bolts out so I'll remove that tomorrow and hopefully I can get that last bastard bolt then. Also just ordered an Option B kit and am going to remove the IC pump tomorrow to see if it works or not.
