its a good thing that the only people with something constructive and topical commented early...saved me from hitching up the hip waders and mucking through all the bullshit haha i digress...

my question to stu and cobaltsssc is this...if rice means Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements does this mean that "ricer" is a good thing? because i have never heard a soul utter the word "hey check out that ricer" and mean that as a compliment.
as your statements and these observations naturally contradict each other perhaps you could clarify for me. lord knows a nutswinger like me wants to learn all that i can from such ******** as yourselves.

i would assume so given the low stance and deep driver seating lol. just out of curiosity what kind of sound do they put out? i figured with the 4 cylinder an internal baffle/resonator weld up would be needed to maintain proper back pressure and produce a more pleasing tone than a strait open note..

if dont want a fart can dont get one, hell i dont think anyone likes far cans, you can easily get a exhaust set up with the right muffler and tip that fits you....something like this:

magnaflow or borla mufflers...using 3.5" exhaust tips...no rice, looks exactly like stock, or you could go with a rolled edge exhaust tip like mine

i used a magnaflow 3.5" slant rolled edge muffler tip on my muffler, looks discrete, and doesnt stick out like a fart can....

BOTTOM LINE what are your opinions people??

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PT...0/?image=large
In high school my first car was a '71 Mustang fastback. I had a set of side pipes
loved 'em, the brand wasn't Patriot but they the same look with heat sheild and
all the parts shown in the link. That car had 351w first thing I did was fill the pipes
full of diesel and burned out the glass, loud as **** the greatest was at stop lights blowing smoke in the window of the guy next to you.

I had considered side exit exhaust on my cobalt but think I couldn't handle the sound level
as you know short pipes=high sound level
