I get that too, I think its just the transmission mounts squeeling because they're not used to shifting so hard. I wouldn't worry about it. Then again I wouldn't be manually shifting it from L to I to D all the time, but thats another story.

My old cavalier did it, supposively due to it releasing line pressure between shifts. I had the BM shift plus and had it all the way up though.

definatly not spun tires it really just sounds exactly like when u miss a gear and it grinds but im not missing the gear cuz it doesnt over rev or nothing just grinds for a short second then its done. usually only when im trying to slam through gears like if i shift to quick or hard.

An automatic is an entire differant animal from a manual, hence why

would not apply. While an auto might shift from gear to gear similar to a manual (the gear change) there is a huge differance in how the clutch vs. the clutch pacs operate, specifically the consistency of the auto and the lack there of for the manual. Also remember that the auto is shifting without letting the engine drop to the appropriate RPM, which you shuld do with a manual. If you don't you squeel the tires, where the auto slips the clutch pacs instead...

Easy answer, you can't compare apples to oranges, they are differant.
