why is my 2.2 so slow

*Yawns* Put it in I and launch with I when you reach 3rd gear slap it in "D" on the track. Traction control means nothing at this point. You want the car in 4th before the end of the track.

4-speed autos have been the norm for a long time now - I don't think you can find a new car with a 3-speed transmission anymore. Actually, lots of new cars have 5 and 6 speed automatic transmissions.

i took my car to the track about a month ago and i ran a embarassing 16.5 @84mph. i was hoping for a little more(or less) than that. so now i am getting the 2.4L intake mani and a header and downpipe combo. does any one have any idea on how much this will effect my hp and drag times?

o. and it was somewhere around 95 degrees when i ran my car.

i should have everything on within the next three weeks, and down here in tx you can wear shorts into all most the end of november so i was hoping it will get cooler sooner this year.

lol all he has is a catback and an intake.... but then again he has larger rims so it will slow him down.. lol on a cool day im saying 16.2 tops

yea after your mods.. and a cool day. yea youll get 15s for sure.. once i get my tune and header/dp combo ill be 14s. and i wanna get my nitrious kit and hit high 13s

with the mods he is talking of adding its possible especially if he was running 16.5 on a 95 degree day.

he is talking about going on a cooler day and his car will be breathing much easier and freely
