Changing DRLs

Is it possible to change the DRL to be the turn signals only like in the Cobalts prior to 07? Or am I stuck with all or nothing?

i think theres a running wire that comes from the drl fuse that leads to the headlight bulb. you could possible cut it and splice it into the running wires on the turn signal harness. just note that this will dramatically shorten the life of the bulb itself.

Unfortunatley the DRLs are controlled by the BCM, so as far as I know there is no way to change it, unless it can be changed by a tech 2, but I've never looked into that.

Rewire the headlight harness and switch the parking light and low beam wires. That is the only way unless you want to install some relays and pull the drl fuse.

That's what I ended up doing. I wired in a relay to my Car. Wired it to battery and ground. Then used a fuse tap from the wipers fuse and ran that wire to the signal pin on the relay. Then 2 wire from the lamp pin to the positive end on my running lights. Vwalah! DRLs
