Silencer

I apologize about the repost...but I figure this is a better place to post this.

Okay so I have never had a silencer until now, so I am pretty unfamiliar with them. I have the Megan racing drift spec exhaust. With the silencer on its quiet but I hate the way it sounds (raspy and ricey). When I took it off it sounds perfect but it's too loud. My question is is if I shorten the pipe on the end of the silencer, will it lessen the raspiness but keep it quiet or will it just ruin the silencer?

Its not going to make a difference...that small amount of piping wont affect it

You could try making the opening of the silencer bigger, lol.
I've seen a couple spare megan silencers on here for sale.

Buy a new catback...honestly.

Otherwise chop resonator off and install a quality one.

I think having no cats may be making it loud too

Oh I'm just waiting for it lol. I think I'll try finding a downpipe with a cat before going for a whole new exhaust. Because I paid next to nothing for it

It doesn't seem too loud inside the cabin, but my friends tell me they can hear me coming like a mile away.
I usually keep my silencer off, but I drive pretty conservatively.
