haha...no you don't...hardly any fun anymore.
grabby ass clutch, traffic, dies often due to 60s, loud exhaust, constant backfires on every upshift and downshift, getting flashed for 6K hids in gen4s, and constant reminder that I "ain't got no tail lights"

On a positive note; with the OTTP fuel pump rewire, DW300 is noticeably louder at KOEO; car starts faster, harder, idles better, and even a little better response.

Hopefully my stainless brake lines will show up soon, then its axles, DRs, and when the taxes come in...built head.

I will definitely be getting new valves, but I am unsure if the .5mm larger is worth it; WERKS has the standard and larger for the same price and they are under 2.4L (solstice/sky) and OTTP has them labeled as just ecotec and ZZP only has OEM(appears)

78lb springs or 82lb springs, is the difference 'noticeable'/worth it?

Are the kent-moore tools necessary? I have pulled head off of 4g63s, NSRTs, and L61; not too bad
its the VVT thats got me a bit nervous...

Itchin for 2.7" with ati OD pulley

The new springs may help if you want to rev out even higher. The stock cams shouldnt hold you back too much since its supercharged.
I've gotten new cams done on my car and I didn't need to use the kent-moore tool. It probably would have been a lot easier though since it would have avoided having to retime the engine. Took about 6 on and off hours for the cam swap to give you an idea of what it was like without the tool. But then again it was the first time I've ever done something like that so you may be able to do something like that quicker.

I finally decided to say F it and run a 2.6" pulley with ati OD balancer
So the lower end will be hurting

After a little bit of waiting for the SS brake lines, I got ahold of josh and asked about the status. He came back that they should have shipped and he will look into it. A day(or two cant remember) he messaged me back that the lines will ship that day(cant remember specific day). The next day when I got home from work, the lines where on my front porch.

Another +1 for OTTP.

I dont have any pictures from the install, got in a hurry because I did it in the morning and the shop got busy, so I had to rush and get them done.
I need a SS clutch line soon too.
I am still boiling the brake fluid, I would go with the powell brake ducts but I want to keep my fog lights.

I was also able to get the ZZP 2.2/2.4L axles; The don't seem any larger than stock, and I didn't feel like cutting open the boot to see if they are.

In prep for gateway opening/me being able to run; I went ahead and installed peewee footballs in the pedders springs...It was a bitch to be honest.
at 15psi on the street(currently deflated) my rs3a didn't spin as much from a 40roll.
As I was testing these, I was on stock axles so I didn't want to launch...But I will be going to the strip on the 17th as long as my tires get in.

I thought you deflated the footballs, jacked the car up, put rubber between coils?

I have access to my lift for personal vehicles whenever I'm off the clock
I just raised car up, pulled springs out, deflated footballs, installed in springs, inflate slightly to get them seated and 'clocked' for easy access to the fill hole, install springs.

Well; after an afternoon of hard driving on the ZZP axles; they make more noise than my factory CVs

needless to say; they will be getting replaced...
I gotta call them to see if they would do anything about it

the DSS axles are 800$ and only support 400hp(wouldn't it be better to rate by torque, thats what breaks axles)

Meh; it is what it is. just one more thing that makes this a little less fun to daily.

A guy was talking to me about the axles and he said he has the same issue. I can deal with the noise not a problem; I just dont have the time to deal with one of these popping at gateway due to lack of build quality(sorry zzp, love all my other purchases so far)

If you could or did the clutch again what clutch would you grab for a daily driver? I'm now doing a stage 3 turbo kit build for my 2.4 HHR and I just don't know what to grab. Which stage is somewhat easier to decide but I have no experience with brands and material. Kevlar or ceramic? With or without lightweight flywheel? And on and on.

Great build btw.

Best bet is to call zzp and talk to them.
If I were to do it again, I would go with one of their kits

I dont know too much about clutches; but for daily, you definitely want a full face disc

So the case needle bearings have started to make a bunch of noise; blower has about 30K miles on it, spinning the 3.14" pulley.
kinda pissed off, but it is what it is.

Gotta call ZZP and get a price and turnaround for a rebuild on monday
Gotta call stiegemeier moday for the same.

Ordered 78lb(75) supertechs and viton seals from ZZP
Ordering LZM delete kit this week
Gonna try to track down 500$ for head P&P
Ordering head thru work monday, outta 09 HHR with 23K miles-250$

calling dealership and getting all gaskets and throwing it on my house account at work

Will be talking to my boss about cashing in my vacation hours and cashing in my christmas check account...

I got the head pulled off last night; today I will be deleting the AC and deleting the entire EVAP system.
The head, 75lb supertechs, gaskets will be going to P&P to get gasket matched and ported.
Ordered balance shaft delete kit this morning
Got the 2.6" TVS pulley cleaned up and ready to go on when the TVS gets back from Stieg.
Ordering all needed gaskets and bolts(**** you TTY) thru work from the dealer.
Car should be back together by next friday; but because I cant get a friday off from work for some reason, car wont be getting tuned until the 3rd. We will be doing a standard street tune, then I will be renting out a mustang dyno for a day and we are gonna tune in the factory cams and see how much we can get outta them.

The TVS is damaged; Went by Steigemeier yesterday afternoon and had the guys look at it. The rear(TB side) needle bearing are shot. He said I was close to having a badass paperweight. They will be installing new bearings, honeing(scratched all to hell from rotors walking), and fresh oil.

I also want to say, they are great to deal with. They were bullshitting with me for a little while, just talking about things and showing my some of the **** they are working on. I would highly recommend them and I will be using them again in the future.

Mr B; On bald kuhmo p700(or something like that); My best run was 14.09 at 107 with 2.4 60'
short shifted 1-2, didn't hit wot till 40-45 and it just spun.
I was very happy with it, didn't think I did too bad considering that was my first pass down a strip ever; and the first time I was really ever hard on the car from a dig

you may want to look at getting the valve guides replaced it looks like your getting a lot of oil in the combustion chamber

before the springs and seals are installed(and port and polish) the guy doing the work is checking the guides as well as the other standard **** to do while head is off.
I would in a heartbeat do all that myself, but its just easier and cheaper to have someone else do it...Ive been doing so much side work so I hardly have time to work on it; just a little here and there

Yesterday, I got the LZM balance shaft delete kit in.
wasnt bad. Had to drop the subframe about 2 inches to get a clean shot in there.
