It all depends on how much you get the parts for used. There's no complete supercharger kit for the cobalt that I know of. You just have to piece it together. But it usually cost's around 1500 dollars for all the parts.

So now we are just waiting for the third set to make it here so he can get it running again.

its a 2 person job... one pushes down on the tensioner, giving it slack, while the other slips the belt on.
It is a one person job if you buy the tensioner tool pulleyboys.com sells. I changed my pulley myself in 5 minutes using that tool

we use one person to hold the tensionor down, one to hold the damn belt on the ac compressor bc it likes to slip off a lot, the other turns the crank pulley to slip the belt on

it kind of varies...with mine, i had to push down as hard as i could (while holding onto the subframe for leverage with my other hand) while steve slipped it on for me. Simple as cake.
The next day, we tried his, and between the two of us, we could NOT get the damn tenioner down enough to slip the belt on. We tried for 3 hours straight, with a couple breaks to let our hands and muscles relax. My dad even tried once, and i have a pretty well built dad...no go. We ended up calling his friend, who is like 230lbs and he got the tensioner down all the way. Ive never heard of one quite that hard...but you never know

BTW, the tool from pulleyboys is about $80, but its so convenient, its easily worth it in my book

we used lockjaw plier to compress it, and it is not easy, even with a crow bar we could only get it to come down so far, we ended up just getting a tad bit around the crank pulley and than just threw a rachet ont he pulley and rotated it counterclockwise to get the belt to slip on, one help the tensionor down, the other held the belt on the ac compressor, while the other one sat inside the wheel well and turned the pulley, i would say that is the hardest part of the whole install putting the belt on, everything else is just wiring and bolting **** together
