Might wanna look at them if you can, not specific to the Cobalt like I said, I have this myself and it pretty much sucks, that's why I recomend Hack's How To.

Will this increased line pressure seriously cut down the life of the transmission?

NO. The hgher the presure the faster the clutches move which means less slipage. Slipage is what weres out transmissions. Well heat does too so make sure it runs cool.

Alright, I think then this plus a $40 transmission cooler would be money well spent.

Damn Jackalope got him before I did, and yes this is a very good investment....I have been looking at the trany coolers as well, but that will probably come with the turbo so no big hurry on that.

you can find a tranny cooler at your local parts store. It can also be used as an oil cooler, or any other fluid cooler.

I know a local Cobalt that has a small cooler which he just plumed it right into the tranny, cost him about $120 for install and other misc. parts. He hasn't hooked up a gauge yet but the back of the box says drops temps from 5-15deg. So if you ever go FI this is a great add-on.

Edit: Did a quick Google search - http://www.autoanything.com/coolers/65A3046A0A0.aspx

B&M shiftplus

Just installed this unit on my 2.4 ss with only 1000 miles last night. Not as good as my 71 vette or 75 camaro with the B&M 400 trannys, but adds a little kick at WOT, moves up thur gears faster. I am enjoying finally owning all the 3 C`s, Camaro, Corvette and Cobalt.

ive had mine on for about 3 or 4 thousand miles and keep it on stage 2 all the time and is holding up very well. but turn it off before taking it to dealer becasue they will try to tell you it clunks into drive if you leav it on and it sure does clunk though.

Mine's not on all the time, but I do mess around at least once a week with it, and had it for about 6K miles and good so far.

Same here. I don't leave it on all the time. but about once a week I'll **** around with stage 1 and 2. No problems out of it so far. I've had more problems with my AEM CAI filter getting wet and messing with my MAF.

That's no good, I would go with the Injen Hydro Shield.
