ok so the dude i am buying my black leather ss seats off of wants me to trade straight up for his vibrant catback for my gmpp performace catback. he said he will also take 50 bucks off of the seats im buying. his catback has 3k on it, mine has bout 14k on it. would this be a good deal or no? any better gains? on my 2.4 than his 2.2? please lmk thanks

just check out the inner diameter on his pipe vs yours. if its the same or bigger, snag it for sure. plus then you save 50 bucks!

you wont see or feel much difference in power when changing your exhaust on your 2.4, unless you're boosted.

Bastard, how much are you paying for those seats?

GMPP exhaust has minimal gains on otherwise stock 2.4 (less than 1 hp from much of what I've read, plus my own dyno results..).

I'd say do it.. then turbo, turbo, turbo.

I mean, are you doing an in person swap? You could always ride along with him and see if you liked the sound or not.

Besides, that extra bit of diameter you'll probably appreciate down the road. I'm very much considering dumping by GMPP in the future and getting a 2.5" or 3" exhaust.

From all that I've heard, the GMPP is one of the best sounding exhausts though.. I've only liked the Hahn and Corsa better.

Best thing about the GMPP is the tip, which I'm sure you could get modified.

250 is a steal. Is he also an 06/07 or are you going to have to do something funky to get the passenger air bag to work?

I need to find somebody willing to make such a trade.

I'd say go vibrant if you like the sound. A turbo prefers free flowing exhaust to my understanding at least..

Yes, for peak hp on a turbocharged setup you need a free flowing exhaust. The worst thing about the back seats is getting them to fit in after u take them out, and bolting the things back in. Be sure to hand thread them in first, if they go in crooked, even a half of a thread, you'll have to cross thread them all the way lol and that's bad news bc it'll take you forever to get them in. I did it myself haha
