Using his ricer math Ross is making a lot more than 270 whp Didn't you know to automatically add 15% to a Mustang Dyno's output ?? haha.

honestly the numbers he put down for an auto on not a great tune w/ a stock 2.4 arent that bad. its a mustang dyno; so they arent inflated. 270whp is respectable. hes just retarded.

I figured....270 is good! Too bad Slim Shady owns it tuning, and cooling mods would be interesting to see!

maybe it is flowing too much air to be effective on the le5? a ported head would probably help him 10x more than anything else right now. and yeah i forgot he would be too busy picking up hunnies to shift

2.0L compared to a 2.4L

You can't compare boost numbers for that reason.

Except on my 3.0" M62, I boost 12 psi...

My LSJ pushed 15psi on a 3.09" pulley.

That's why I'm saying you can't compare boost numbers. Heads flow differently, different displacement, different exhausts will affect boost as well.

That, and 12psi from a TVS is different from 12psi on a M62.

Yeah, I guess that's it. Its been so long since I actually ran that pulley. 2006.

Hell, its been more than a year since a S/C was even on this car.

So...

3" M62 on an LSJ @ 15 psi -> 3.1" TVS on an LSJ @ 20 psi

and

3" M62 on an LE5 @ 12 psi -> 3.1" TVS on an LE5 @ 12 psi

That makes sense to you? Obviously the 3.1" TVS is both going to push more air and have less parasitic loss than the 3.0" M62, so the boost pressure for both the LSJ and LE5 should be higher for the TVS. I'm not saying Ross' TVS should be pushing 20 psi like it would on an LSJ, but something closer to 15 or 16 psi would be more reasonable and make more sense...

boost is a measure of restriction.

That being said, I'm 100% positive his head flows less than the big power TVS guys around here. And considering he only has 270whp, then he's obviously making a lot more boost than a mere 12psi.

You still can't compare... I made that amount of boost on a GMPP Manifold, 2.5" ZZP Catless DP, and GMPP Catback.

He's on a full 3" Exhaust... so he'll make less. I'm not saying that it makes sense... but hell, not even all stock LSJ's made 12.5psi on the stock pulley.

As said before... you can't really compare Boost Levels from car to car.
