LTZ does not include fog lights. You have to add the RS package or order them separate.

Vince, what grade fuel are you using, and what do you recommend? GM says you CAN use 87 but they wont tell us what we SHOULD be using...

Should be using 87. tuned you can obviously take advantage of more.

Well when we asked GM their engineers replied saying we could use up to 91 but would not recommend higher, stating the car should make the same power but of course its a tad cleaner then low grade 87.

They wont really give us a straight answer.

Vince, also, would it be better to tune before/after intake/exhuast mods? Our tune would need to be different if we changed airflow systems right? Just curious how this should be handled

Well of course the car is going to make the same power, it's tuning it that's going to utilize the higher octane so you can pull more timing.

Well with a downpipe, intake and exhaust you would see much bigger gains if you tuned afterwards and you will most likely need a tune after an intake no matter what.

Yep, we're selling the Cruze tune now - feedback has been very positive.

If by final outcome, you mean what it put down on the dyno before and after, check out page 7 of this thread. The dyno sheet is there.

A gain of 36hp and 54ft.lbs of torque? That's quite the improvement!

Yep, factory turbocharged vehicles leave quite a bit for improvement. The only catch is the tune requires supreme unleaded, but, yes the power gains are quite nice (and on a percentage basis, are actually higher than what we get on the LNF, even)

What, if any, gains to you achieve through the 2.4N/A (assuming you made a tune for it)?

Sorry, I don't follow - are you referring to the Cruze? They only have two engine options - a 1.4L turbo and a 1.8L N/A. It looks like they might put the SIDI 2.4L engine in the Cruze for 2012 model year, but I don't think that has been confirmed.

If you are referring to the 1.8L engine, I don't have any numbers on the tune for that one yet.

whats the curb weight on the cruze 1.4L T? I swear its more than the SS cobalt. I think the Sonic with a 1.4L T would be a good weight to power ratio than a cruze. cant wait to see zzp parts and tuning to get 200whp and then a sonic with the 1.4 comes out, then it will be a fun car.

Pretty sure it is at least a few hundred pounds heavier.

Performancewise, it's definitely not an SS Cobalt - not even the same league. In fact, it's pretty sluggish from the factory. Not so bad with our tune but it's definitely not a rocket ship.

It seems like GM didn't want this car to drive like a turbocharged car. If you think the turbocharger is quiet on the stock LNF, it sounds like a freight train compared to the Cruze's turbo. You can't hear *anything*. I even tried hacking up my airbox to get a little more noise. It sounds weird, more like a wooshing sound than a turbine sound. In fact, I'm not even sure that thing is a turbocharger at all! Maybe it's hamsters running in a cage.

I agree - I think the Sonic with this engine will be much more interesting from a performance standpoint.
