Only let people post that know the answers to all the stupid questions that people ask on here daily.
Anyway, I couldn't care less either way. I'm here to help and to get help. I'm not here to judge or label anyone (nor to be judged or labeled) based on their knowledge of a specific engine. Afterall, at one point or another all of us knew nothing.
As "stupid" as some of these questions may seem, they're only stupid because you already know the answer. Yet, have someone ask a question to which you do not know the answer, and you'll suddenly see people say it's a "good question."

2. Which intakes DON'T throw a code?
3. What size injectors are needed for a 2.8 pulley?
4. What companies offer headers for the LSJ?
5. How do you install a pulley?
6. How do you install injectors?
7. How do you calibrate the MAF table? (jk about that one)

What injectors w/ 2.8" Pulley is a loaded question that will start WW3.
I don't think a quiz is the appropriate way to segregate members. I agree w/ Dan that it should be an open forum that is more aggressively monitored. If something is not relevant or will help no one, drop it off the face of the earth. That will allow good debate and sharing of information from people who have 5,000 posts or 1 post. Remember, just because someone joined yesterday and has only posted once, does not mean they know nothing about the Ecotec engine or cobalts. Also, I would like to take a moment and support the idea that this should not be LSJ biased, which your quiz seems to be.
Im thinking all you have to do is have a moderator who knows what they are talking about. Anybody posts something that is useless or doesnt belong, zap, delete the post.
Having a high post count is stupid...ask any post *****
Member since is stupid...there are stupid people here that have been here forever
Quiz is stupid...you can find the answers online...but only if you know how to search
Its a technical section, anything that does not belong report it and a mod will delete it
I would vote for Dan too because I have seen some of what he can do and its beautiful!

I was honestly joking about the quiz. That is stupid, I think by invite or approval by mod is the only way it will work. You can't go by join time or post count, what if a guy with a crap load of mods and experience doesn't know about site, then finds it and joins. He won't be able to post in here because he would be too new.
That's just it, though. I'd fail that quiz miserably.
I have quite a bit of experience with engines (mainly SBC) and drag racing RWD cars, but none with 4 cylinders or FWD. But that doesn't mean that I couldn't contribute somehow. As I'm sure there would be many new comers in the same boat.

Hey Guys I just bought my 2006 Cobalt ss in may and im still new to the SuperCharged thing and was wondering if anyone could educate me on what you can do to make these things fast. I have already bought a smaller pulley and have the stage 2 belt and an intake on it and next is # 60 lb injectors. I would appreciate the held guys Im sure there is some real car heads on here

Along with an aggressive mod to destroy wothless posts.
I have 0 performance parts on my car but i will some day. I have questions because i would like to say the answer(s) for the future. I also have answers (not too technical) but i have answers from what I've learned first hand or from here
I guess it's all about what the persons opinon is of "advanced"
Before my SS I had a Cavalier, I did little things to it but nothing major. My SS is the first car I've actually MODDED. When I get a Stage 2 kit, that's an advanced mod to me. I've never done anything like that.
I know what you're saying though... I think we should keep "ADVANCED MOD" not so general. What about major [u]internal[u] modifications; i.e. pistons, porting, 6-speed conversion, automatic to manual conversion (and vice vera - WHO KNOWS!?)...
