Cool Engine Swap

So I was looking on the internet for a new LSJ engine because mine is about to be at 200k. And I saw that ccs.net have a vender called crateenginedepot so I looked for the cobalt engine and sure enough there it was 2.0 Ltr - 122 C.I.D. - GM ENGINE 2004-2007 New 12592941 but for $4,794 which is honistly a really high price without the supercharger. So I looked at other engines and found this one 350 Crate Engine 290 HP HO 12499529 for $2,717 less with more hp then ours(without the supercharger). I know its not a 4 cylinder but I was wonder if it could fit and/or work? I basically want to know all the Flaws of doing this before I actually try to attempt.

Drop in LDK motor does not work. ZZP sells a Gen 3 motor that works in the LSJ but they take it apart and modify the reluctor wheel on it so it will work with the LSJ CPS.

Not to mention it's also direct injection. But that would just need an LSJ head.

Change the oil spark plugs and keep driving till it dies.

I bought a gm crate motor when my crapola blew apart. Warranty for 3 years and 100k miles. Cost me with a stage 3 south bend clutch and Lnf TOB Around $5,604.82. Not at all cheap. If you want to swap just swap an ldk in there and do your homework. If an engine fits in the bay with tranny, IT CAN WORK. Wire harness, and all computers necessary will make it happen. It's really not hard.

Direct injection ain't **** to figure out. Pump is on the block/no pump in tank.. duh...

Also, make your own freakin motor mounts. Simple really

Not that simple when your ECU can't control rail pressure.

Do direct injection cars have a traditional fuel rail? Idk. Pretty sure hpfp is controlled by cam. And controlling that is easy with an Lnf ecu or an Ldk ecu.. With the proper wiring and ecu that engine will run in anything it fits in. I can put it in my 87 Conquest with a kappa tranny if I wanted to and let my AEM EMS run it..
