did they time it with a gun or by the refrence points on the chain/gears/ect...?

Flying low, are you now driving the car with "16 bent vales and nicked pistons" why is it running like ****?

the LAP is 10:1 vs the LE5's 10.4:1 so the piston to head height shouldn't be an issue, especially with the reduced stroke of the LAP (94.5vs98mm) we've already established that the head is the same P/N, so i would imagine everything would be the same, possibly even the cams, but im sure valves, springs and whatnot are.

So IMHO the timing was not set properly on Flying's car, as others have stated.

has anyone looked up the stock cam specs for both motors? i've been hunting for LAP stuff, but no luck

LE5
Bore - 86MM
Stroke - 98MM

Intake Cam
Duration - 210.3
Lift - .415

Exhaust Cam
Duration - 195.4
Lift - .395

i think someone needs to just do it. from some evidence that has been floating around with part number and stuff i personally think it will work. i know from experience the 2.4 and 2.2 heads are interchangeable
