Stock sleeves are paper thin! Me and StevesBlack06 have a bunch laying around and you can bend them with your hands

The dartons and machine work ran me about $1500-1600 and was well worth it IMO! Good piece of mind

Got my head gasket kit from Crate Engine Depot today. Super fast shipping and by far the best deal I could find for this kit. I can't wait to get her running again and take her for a spin....it's been a long time since I drove the SS.

just use lnf block + lsj head and then get a turbo kit with IM and exhaust manifold

The block ended up being ok on the LSJ. When the timing chain tensioner failed, the only damage was to the intake valves but I bought a complete head to be safe.

Should be running soon and available for sale for the tax season.

For the sake of discussion though, wouldn't the pistons need to be replaced on the LNF block since the LSJ isn't direct injection?

oh yeah, forgot about pistons, but i dont think so, might not be as efficient and the lsj pistons though

I hope you keep the balt a little longer once its up and running again. I might take it off your hands in the future haha as you know I've been talking about getting another.

Sucks you could not go with the lnf but the lsj is a good motor and my preference.

The last time my car ran was April of 2011..lol. Its been in the garage ever since until I pushed her out recently to fix her.

Did a forum member buy your car or did you advertise elsewhere?

Hey man what happened with the LNF? Did you get it installed or are you not doing it now? I'm thinking about doing that swap in my 07 but I have the 2.4. Is it that hard to do and if you're not doing it would you be interested in selling it? I want a LSD and turbo in my car so that I can run some Hondas around here. My car is slow compared to even a stock civic lemme know

I gave up on the LNF swap. It's complicated and not worth it which is why not many people have done it. I'm tired of high HP FWD cars so I bought a Vette

If all you want to do is beat stock civics then why not simply install a SC kit from an LSJ? I had no problems running full bolt on RSX-S cars with my LSJ which had only a flowmaster and K&N. The Honda cars are easier to drive because they produce less torque but if you know how to drive, an equal HP Cobalt with more torque will win every time. Sometimes boost control means where your foot is on the throttle.

There's a ton of info on this website but it really wouldn't take much to beat a stock Civic.

I need a motor. My first motor went out around 20k due to the timing chain i think but was covered by warranty. Now my second motor is bad and i think its the same thing so I want something different. My buddy has a LNF and has about 400whp with no problems after 3 years so I think it's a better setup plus I want LSD not to mention its really hard to make that much power with a supercharger on these cars but easy for the Hondas so I want turbo. If you want to sell the LNF you have I may want to buy it if it has the LSD tranny too. lemme know.

I'm holding on to the engine a little while longer for a buddy. He's interested in sticking it in a LE5 and using the head from the LE5 or something like that. I'm gonna be in Cali and Mex for about a month but if he doesn't do anything with it by then, I plan to list it. I'll let you know if he changes his mind but either way I won't be around for a month. What part of NC are you in? I may be able to have it delivered for a small fee if you're in the right area.

Let me know if he doesn't buy it but I need to start looking for another engine so I can get my car back on the road. Maybe a LSJ would be better anyway.

Hey Blue Man,

I'm back in NC until Saturday if you're still interested. My buddy hasn't paid me yet so if you have the money, you're more than welcome to come take a look. I have a ton of extras too that you may be interested in such as a brand new TVS.

I don't know what friend you're referring to but I don't have a race track in my back yard..lol..I have an ATV course that we trail but aside from that just some big ass ponds to fish and about 15 acres. Nothing too fancy although we did talk about a little road course with a 1/8 mile run on one side but the development was quite expensive and would depreciate the property value. I have to think towards retirement already...lol.. but a track would be freaking awesome!

Glad you got your motor figured out. Did you get another LE5?
