MP 1900 TVS Blower
I do like the fact that this is an "option" for the LSJ though. I am really crossing my fingers that the guys from KB would get involved and do something for us. 1.2 or 1.3L KB Cobalt would be some pretty cool stuffs right there.
I think the TVS1320 is about as big as you want to go on our cars. The KB Mammoth is a 2.8 and that's on a 4.6ltr.
That means the KB 2.8 is 60% the size of the motor itself.
The TVS 1320 is 66% of the LSJ's size.
That's pretty close.
And then if you look at the gains, the m62 LSJ usualy dyno's in the 280-290 range from the ones making the most power with bolt ons. With the TVS, the biggest gain we've seen thus far on a consistent basis was just over 350whp. That's roughly 70whp gain. 25% gain in power.
The Cobra guys usually dyno in the 470-480 range with bolt ons on the stock m112. The KB 2.8H mammoth has seen just under 650whp. That's a 180whp gain. 38% gain in power.
So if we sit back and check out numbers like that, then you can see that the gains that the TVS1320 offers us are pretty decent, and that's comparing it to the baddest blower on the market for the cobra guys, and they have a lot more options for blowers than we do. If only Kenne Bell would man up and dip a toe into the cobalt world.

That's what I would love to see. But their issue would be like with the TVS. I think even with as many TVS 1320's that have been sold they are still in a loss. Because nobody wants to cough up $1600 for a blower. I have, and would again if something else came out that is comparable in size.
If you wanna see if that thing is really faster than your old set-up...
Open up your VCM Scanner, open up a GOOD 3rd gear pull log from your old set-up. Head to the bottom of the screen, check out the timer, get your 70-100mph time. Make a log w/the new behemoth, see how long it takes you to go from 70-100 in 3rd gear(preferably under similar circumtances).
No dyno or race needed so to speak. That's the only way I've able to tell if Im actually making improvements w/my tune because dyno #s are so iffy and the butt dyno's can be off from time to time. I went from my base tune of taking me 6.5 7 seconds to at a best of 5.0 seconds. Try it out.

Love your car paint job.
IMO, that blower is impractical for the LSJ. A 1.9L blower on a 2.0L car just makes no sense. Yes it pushes 22 PSI with a gigantic pulley but you probably see less results than with the Harrop TVS 1320.
You just cannot turn the RPM's needed to reach the blowers efficiency range.

I've learned to take anything on this site with a grain of salt anymore. Most of the members on here have got to be like 17 yrs old and think they know it all. I don't even really post any of my knowledge on here anymore. No sense because I am wasting my breath with these guys.
As for the single pass deal, I think I know who you're talking about but we won't get into that. Whatever happened happened.
And yes, your statement with the TVS is just as valid regardless of if you were a passenger or driver. You still get a feel for what the car does/can do.
I'm sticking with my statement as I feel that this blower is simply too big for our application. it might give you more power than the M62 but I don't see it beating out the 1320. There have been people over 400 to the wheels with the TVS w/o spray.

The 1900 looks goofy because of the inlet. It can't be tapered off like the smaller blowers because there's not enough room.
So it's a sharp rounded off edge leading to the inlet. Meh. He could throw some high heat paint on it. Would help a little.
I'm just waiting for some street/dyno results from it.
Further testing will resume when I turn my rotors, and get some new pads.
Once in a pull the rotors begin to warp and vibrate the car horribly.
Afterwords it feels like the brakes are constantly applied, and the rear rotors get almost 60* hotter than the fronts.

On a side note
I just put on this past Saturday a new GMPP performance clutch and ZZP STG1 Axles.

i go 40-120 in under 10 sec
40-120 9.83 sec in my log, when i dont spin... this video is of me spinning second, and it took 10 sec from 0:06 to 0:16
