my LSJ build :D

What's up guys. Some of you already know that I have a little build in the works im getting ready to do. So I figured id go ahead and make a thread about it and update with pictures as it progresses. A lot of you know about my rev limit issues with me fighting third at the track. Well at first I was just going to install my valve springs raise the limiter and call it a day. Until I've talked to a few guys on here that hooked me up on some other things. So this is whats going to be done to the car. The engine will be staying in the car as well and since shes my dd will be done pretty quickly.

Gmr cams
Solid lifters
82# valve springs
Head is going to be ported
Diamond 10.1 comp pistons
Total seal rings
New rod bearings
Arp bolt kit
Headgasket
New timing chain set
Tensioner
Idc 1000cc injectors
2.6 pulley
And of course car will be on E85.

I decided to not pull the motor for ease of install and since I'm not doing anything with the sleeves or rods. This is going to be kind of a buget build, and in the end I'm looking for 400-420 hp nothing to crazy. If anyone has any info on some of the places to get some of the parts I've listed such as rings, headgasket, bearings, arp bolt kit and the misc things for the best prices let me know. I have some of this stuff and alot of it will be getting picked up this weekend as my wallet allows. Figured I'd let the rest know what was going on and its going to be a good track season this year.

Tvs. Should be a nice little budget build. And with the higher comp pistons, cams ported head and a rev limit of 8500 I should run well into the mid 11s

Shouldnt take you too long with the motor in the car. The higher CR and raised limiter combined with E85 will net you a nice noticealbe gain.

Only thing that will take time is waiting on the head port (ahem) and setting up the solid lifters. Pistons and such will be cake. Thats the reason I'm going with the higher comp pistons since shell be on e85. Should pull like a son of a bitch and still be able to have a good timing map . I'm anxious to feel the powerband with the cams as well

With E85 your car will most likely take just as much timing on the higher compression, its the magic sauce

Who is doing the head porting?

My buddy Joe. He does a lot of porting for the race cars at langley speedway. Have talked to Steve though and the exhaust ports will look like yours.
