yes unbolt rods pull pistons through the top. But i may be picking up a bare 2.1L girdled bare block from zzp to start with so ill only build her once. Making 400+ on a blower and stock sleeves scares me a bit and i dont want to chunk my block if she blows a sleeve

 

good luck with ur build man. I decided to sell my performance and just slap in a used motor with low mileage. I've been trying to do a budget build and it ain't working out so well.

you should rev to at least 8500

 

im going to man i rev to 7500 on stock components 80k no issues. Hell i may spin her to 9k but will have to pulley up due to overspinning the blower

 

are you going to be holding 9k for a while? leave the pulley you have

 

9k on a 2.6 lolz

 

got solid lifters only a few more pieces running 11s friday on stock internals then shes coming apart

yea believe it or not the only difference is ill be on a girdled block, no sleeves, with the 82# springs, same comp pistons a little more aggressive cams, ported head as well but my car will be on E85 after my build to run more timing with the higher compression pistons. How much timing could james get out of yours with the bumped compression?

 

im not sure to be honest we only got thru bout half the tuning before i had to head overseas

 

Topend timing 26 midrange tamper from 30ish down to 26
