Well good thing I have lots of hair. Maybe I'll just start saving now for a FAST ecm setup (GM uses a FAST engine management system for the 1400 hp balts).

HA!!! Thats funny, cause this week I'm getting everything cryo frozen, which means I'll have everything, and frozen. All that will be left after this week is to get the head work done which will take about a week, then assemble and install

Does anyone know is the LSD equipped F35 tranny has any internal springs!?!?

Cause after its cryo'd it will be good for 550-600 hp. I'm getting all my stuff cryo'd by T-N-T Distributing. Their number is (928)-639-3739. Talk to T.J. and tell him Cameron Hutchcroft told you to call.

actually i allready have a cryo guy, my question is are you having the tranny torn down before cryo or not, my cryo guy said it was possible with out taking apart the tranny.

I just went through a huge dilemma about this. My cryo guy said you can freeze it as one solid chunk, IF it doesn't have any springs inside. They said if there are springs that are compressed when its frozen, the springs will no longer be in a compressed state afterward. In other words, the springs have to be removed in order to freeze it. I called a tech at the local dealer, and he said there are springs in the syncros of the tranny. So to freeze the tranny you DO need to tear it apart. I just found this out today, and it basically killed my spirit with this car. Mine won't be back together for many many months now, after I save up the zillion dollars it will cost to tear the thing down, and put it back together

I am dead inside

that really sucks, it has been the major reason i have not done the tranny yet, i have too many concerns about doing it without it being taken apart. and finding a tranny shop who i am confident in there ability, and that has the specialty tools to take it apart. let me know if you find a competent shop that can work on this tranny.

If you can get the "special" Saab tools perhaps you could tear it down yourself.

I know my way (very well) around an engine. I pretty much know my way around an automatic transmission, but I don't even have the slightest clue when it comes to manual transmissions.

+1 IIRC not a single person has broken these trans due from to much power. All from poor driving.

only 2 f35's. one for a roll pin, the other for a synchro. these transmissions dont go bad under normal conditions. I have rebuilt prob 20 other manual transmissions, I used to work at a gm dealer so I have most of the tools, the ones i dont have i would buy. If I were to do it I would look for a cryo guy out here. I will let you know cost in a pm in a couple days, I have to add up a few things
