Yeah, I had the tech look up the opel kit, and he said it wasn't the right length or thread pitch, as well as its only a 16 piece kit.... the ecotec has 20 main bolts

I'm currently ordering right now, it sucks, but at least I know 100% they'll work.

**** that! Get custom **** made! If the aftermarket won't support you, then **** 'em! No one makes aftermarket rods for the 2.0L, yet I have a set of 2.0L billet rods in my room

arp doesn't have a number listed for the 2.0. hence why you call them and give them exact specs. if they don't have it, they will make it.

They didn't even offer to make new ones. It doesn't matter, I don't have time to wait for custom studs. I'm just using GM main bolts, maybe I'll buy like 5 sets, so it will be like having reusable studs... just WAY more expensive

it's supposed to realign the molecules of the metal so that it is stronger without being brittle.

Pauter actually makes two different sets of billet rods for the LSJ, both available just by phoning. One is for normal people and the HD set is for the abnormal people. Guess which ones I bought.

My wife likes my abnormal rod

Back to the main bolts, we went with custom main studs to ensure even stronger clamping power.
