Hello all, I did a quick search and didn't find anything regarding a roof swap so I'm making a new thread, and I thought this would be the best place for it.

Let me start off by saying that I am looking to purchase a stock SS/TC for track use exclusively in the stock/enthusiast categories. To that end, I want one with no sunroof to help with the body-roll, weight etc. If I can find a cheap one with a sunroof I will be looking at doing a roof swap. Just curious if anyone on here has attempted this or know of anything in particular to look out for. I currently own an M3 E46 and have done the carbon fiber roof swap on it and other than it being tedious it wasn't rocket science (we outsourced the removal of the windshields).

Any and all help would be appreciated!

Just talked to a guy at my bodyshop and he said it takes him about 2 hours to change them out, so I guess it's no different that my other car. If there as anything someone would like to add then by all means please do! Otherwise I think I got it all worked out, thanks!
