I agree on the N2MB WOT box for shifting. I find with the 2step I just spin the crap out of the tires off the line. That's with Mickey Thompson ET Street radials too. I've got new tires to try this weekend though.

When does the gt30 series have full spool by?

on chris's car it's at 21 psi at like 3200 rpm or earlier. I need to double check my data logs, but basically hit the gas, you got boost

Turbo should spool up a bit better than mine did on that setup (shitty ebay version, still stuck on shitty ebay modified turbo mani lol) I just emailed vulcan about that Tubular manifold myself. I'm moving soon so I will finally have some time (and a place) to work on my car for once lol.
and yes the car is still holding together, cept the clutch lol (only died 2 weeks ago though) still running 22 psi on pump gas, just haven't been driving it much for the last few weeks though.
Just make sure whoever builds your motor takes their time and does it right, I'm seeing too many "built" LSJ's blow up, and for some reason blowing out the cylinder walls.
can't wait to see how your car turns out man, should make 400whp pretty easily and keep some decent TQ numbers. I would have recommended a gt3071 or76 though as the spool times on those are rediculous. Just finished up with bigrolred's car with a gt3071 and it's spools a lot faster than mine (But I always catch em in the end lol)
I would also recommend the N2MB WOT box and 2-step and it keeps you from falling out of boost btwn shifts
i was thinking about that, after the pistons are replaced and the ringlands/rings are capable of holding up to the cylinder pressures the sleeves might be the next weakest link. power finds a weakness. i wonder how much the stock sleeves really can hold, i'm still using them, but i had my block cryoed so i think i'm safe for a bit.

Man that is crazy low! Go check it out to be sure.

My T3/T04e 50 trim hits 18psi by 3800rpm. Not BB though.

I've been told the stock sleeves will go 600hp but that's pushing them. I think all the other cylinder failures was from other things like messed up boost controllers.

thats the one i have, i spent the extra on it so i wouldn't have any regrets later, planning on getting an electonic like the eboost2, controls boost by gear and acts as a meth controller too.

I've talked to Bill hahn on numerous occasions on this and from the data I got from him (through GM and whatnot) they should be good to 500-600hp depending on knock and whatnot. I'll find out though on my own lol

trix had a cheap ebay crap mbc it spiked like 38 psi an killed his motor.
I run the turbosmart single stage MBC on my car and it doesn't spike at all, it hits where I set it at and just stays there

yeah it is uber. I'm going up to retune it in 2 weeks since he fixed his boost leaks and manifold leak, so it should be making some nice power, I'll post up the logs and vids that night when I get back home.

I plan on getting the E-boost 2 as well once funds allow it. It's a nice unit for sure!

that gives me a bit more confidence, i can't afford to build another motor right now, and i wanna turn up the boost.

yah pricey though the lowest i have seen it on ebay was 500. i just wanna be able to control boost by gear and rpm, the apexi unit has that feature as well. but hell for a little bit more why not get something that controls my meth kit as well. i think i'm gonna sell my returnline fuel system to offset the cost. i haven't hit over 44% idc since i switched to the 79lbers and walbro pump anyway.
