Turbo progress is finally underway. Gutted engine bay pics inside!

So I finally got the .83 T4 divided housing for the S258 last week like I had wanted. I now have a 1.15 housing also if I decide to sacrifice some midrange power for top end haul. Here are the pics of her and the nest it will settle into in the engine bay :-)

I assume your using the Hahn intake mani? Looks like it should be a decent build. Is the motor built at least?

Yes, that's where the turbo is going.

I am making both the turbo and the intake manifolds myself.

500whp is the goal.

Nice!!!! Gool luck with the build.

Is it just me or does the compressor housing look tiny compared with the exhaust housing, Like a deisle truck turbo or something.

Thanks. And it's a twin scroll housing so there is a divider inside the housing that takes up some room, therefore the overall housing has to be larger.

Thanks, it's the only place I could fit that relatively large turbo easily while using a twin scroll turbo. Plus it's going to look so sexy up front and will be the first thing you see when you pop the hood.

Looking good, and I was wondering how long it was going to take someone to mount the turbo somewhere else.

Why not do what reldline dan did, and mount it in the passengerside of the engine bay?

theres plenty of room there

Actually, there's not. Did you see the tiny turbo and half assed manifold he was using?

I give him props, but there's a saying around here: Do it once, do it right.

lol.... tiny turbo? It's a Holset off of a truck. And that manifold is not half assed. I've seen the work in person and it's bad ass.

Didn't he pair the wrong cylinders?

Yeah, half assed imo.

I think you've got him confused with someone else. He's got an absolutely HUGE turbo and all of the work done on it has been top notch.
