If you have a daily driver that only sees full load about 5% of the time, you may only brush the limits of the stock sleeves briefly....again, this is simply gambling and one day you will roll on the throttle and pop an engine. YOu put any track time on that car and actually run the car, you will quickly see where the flaws are. You build it right and it will just ask for more.
A 100% stock motor with repeated highway runs with a 150 shot and C16 on top of about 17psi of boost, with timing advanced to well above 20 degrees sounds like a pretty good way to torture test a motor to me. Did it every weekend pretty much since June until about mid August when I started the tear down for the turbo build. This is not a DD either. It's just a WOT car.

By the way, compression is still within stock spec, not close to the lower end of it either ;-)

GM did good on this motor. I can't wait to find the limits of the LNF either, although to be honest I never found the limits of the LSJ.

You sound like one of those guys who gets pissy about an EVO9 on a stock turbo running 500awhp and 127mph trap speeds without nitrous. Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean someone else doesn't know how.

The LSJ will rip uncoiled 7/16" ARP studs out of the block before the iron sleeves go.

I'm not pissy at all. Who says I can't do it? Who says I even want to?
280-300whp from the LSJ is all I want. Cant do much with 500 HP through a glass tranny anyways. I am not going to argue with you and reference published facts and advice from GM racing any more. Have fun re-inventing the wheel.

eh as much as I hate this. These motors do hold up well when properly tuned actually, key is richen it up, up top. to like 10.8 above 6200 rpm to keep it cooled down (cylinder temp wise) I dunno I beat the ever living **** out of my car every time I get in it (everyone that knows me can attest to that) and I've been pushing over 350 and over 400whp for almost 15k miles without really a hickup. Still on the high side of compression tests too (somehow)
