All cobalt headlights and tail lights work in all model years. If you want the CCFL halos, go on ebay and get the 3rd gens that come with CCFL halos. The normal 3rd gens come with LED so make sure they say CCFL on the page.
Here's a decent looking hybrid solution while I hack apart the IPCW inners, tinted this would look alright.

Here is my first failed attempt...

What are you guys with retros doing with the DRL's? Also, the front amber markers. I've got an extra set of stock 09 headlights apart and ready to go but I want to get rid of the amber lens/reflector in the housing and paint it black along with the reflector. Any ideas?

Maybe a little brighter LED behind the marker too. But I really would like to keep the DRL's. I've got some ideas but I thought somebody else might have a better one. Thanks.
V-Leds sell a 5 led bulb that will fit behind the reflector. I used these in my font and rear markers, much brighter and fills the lens out better than the incandescent. With nightshade, it may not be as noticeable in the daytime, but you don't need it then. You could always mask off the rectangle spot that sits right next to the bulb, then tint it. That way, it would still glow amber as well as what's tinted, in case someone tries to heckle you about it.

You could always just put a small piece of electrical tape over your auto light sensor so your lights always come on. Idk if using a relay gives your lights full power with DRLs on since the power is from a separate source.. I've heard of too many problems with hids and drls so I just do without.

According to the following there shouldn't be any compatabiltiy issues with the 9007 v HID.
But correct me if I'm wrong. I want to get this right the first time to eliminate having to split the housings a second time. What a messy pain in the ass. Thanks.

Hey Bill,
Glad to hear the information I provided in my last email was helpful for you- let me answer your new questions below in order to make sure I cover everything:
1) The DRL's would turn on the HID low beam during the day. We do a lot of customers with cars that have DRL's and that's how it reacts with our bi-xenon harness. My Toyota FJ does the same thing, except with H4 bulbs instead of the 9007 you have.
2) You dont need to modify anything, just plug the harness into all the components, and the DRL will turn on the HID low beam during the day, the high beam function will not be affected, should work as normal.
3) LED strips: if you plan to order direct through the website, you can simply make a note with the order in the comments section before submitting it that you want the LED strips for free, we will include them. Otherwise, if you plan to order over the phone - you can mention it then. By email, request them before we set up a paypal invoice and we'll add them in free. Not a problem
Thanks Bill, let me know how else I can help-
They look great BTW.
