Nah I've got HIDs in my fogs and honestly the light output from the Gen4s is good enough that I don't really feel it's necessary. Some people have though...I may get some Silverstar Cool Blue bulbs or some Nokya bulbs for a color change but I'm not running another set of ballasts and harness on this thing...I'm lazy and I hate clutter

Has anyone ever build a custom LED circuit for the taillights? i really don't like any aftermarket taillights that are out right now. i liked how the tail lights stealthy1ss made out of passat tails but i would like to have some made for the inner ones too. i know people have talked about it before but i would like to switch my inner ones to be the blinkers; to look something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aseVt...eature=related

would anyone know the dimensions of the inside of our taillights?

I think each one of those ideas has been done separately, like make the inner lights running lights, or brake lights, or turn signals, and I think someone has turned the reverse lights into turn signals but lost the reverse lights. I don't think they have ever all been done together though. I don't think anyone here wants to take the time to make a custom circuit board and make it do all that. If you do, good luck! That would be awesome.

get the modern performance or EBay smoked LED taillights, then just take apart your reverse lights, add the LED rings, paint the inside of the white part a transparent red, take the power wire from your reverse lights and connect it to the blinker signal from your taillights and youd need like a solenoid or something to also hook them up to your brake lights, and wire the LED's you put in to the parking lights on your taillights. Now when you stop, the outside tails get brighter and your reverse light, now red, glows, when you signal, both lights illuminate, and you have 4 LED rings for running lights.

I just got my black 4-gens in today (to match the black balt). Still waiting for the HID kit. It'll be a week or two before I have time to install them...can't wait

I noticed this as well when I purchased my 2nd gens. It looks much better without it IMO.

Excellent job, Arman!

Very well...trust me. I do a lot of night driving and visibility, even with the high beams on with the stock setup was ridiculous. Especially on roads that are not well lit the difference is astonishing.

Umm. Honestly Idk. Go outside and measure that little black ring around the projector. I have no idea what size it is, but a small one would fit there perfectly. Bout time someone tried this, the grand am/grand prix guys have been doing this forever. Post up pics of if and when you do it. you could easily run the wires inside the slit in the bumper for aiming the fogs.

p.s. My retros shipped out today
