I've had mine installed for 6 months now. No problems at all.
From what I have read, the 2nd gen & 3rd gen are way better quality then the 1st gen projectors.

They look so nice don't they?! You get yours off eBay? Are those HIDs I see in your fog lights? Are you running HIDs in the projectors as well?

Yeah, 8000k in my projectors & fogs. They light up the road like no other!
Yes, I got them off of Ebay when they first came out.

I mounted the ballasts under the head light brackets:

That sucks. I guess some are faulty right from the factory they're made at. But yeah, HID all the way. 8000k FTW!

So you can see the road just fine with 8000k? That's awesome. I was worried that if I got 8000k I wouldn't be able to see the road as well. I hope I was lucky enough to get a good quality light. I just installed them like 5 days ago...I really hope they last. I guess if one of the rings burns out or and of the LEDs or the light bar...you are basically screwed. Also...has anyone bought their lights from an eBay seller called kazespeed? I'm just wondering because that's where I got mine from and if someone whose lights have lasted along time came from this person...well that would mean good news for me lol.

hids are brighter...but nowhere near the heat output of stock halogens, fyi...you run more risk melting your lens with halogens...

and ive bounced around in terms of colour tmp...8k seems to be the nicest imo.

Yeah...I'm going to get HIDs very soon. I don't drive much at night...and when I drive during the day, I run just the rings. Could you send me the link of the HID system you bought? The one I'm thinking of getting is plug and play, and I'm not sure how to hook them up to my projectors.

Bump

Kazespeed is a good seller, I didn't get my projectors from him but I did buy my tail lights from him and they're running great now as when I installed them.

I have only had mine a month now. I love them. They look sick and I get compliments all the time. Every1 says when I drive behind them it looks like my headlights change colors. They obviously dont, its just the way the light hits it or something. But **** thats cool. My one complaint is that when it rains and its hot as hell I get alot of moisture in them. It dries out, but after a little shower, you can spot the moisture. Sometimes worse then other. Contacted seller, not from ebay but from www.kingsource.com and they said to seal headlight with clear silicone, and if that didnt work to send them back.

Thats a project for another day, since I also have to cut my diamond plate floormats to size since on the web site it said "custom fit to cobalt" and when I put the driver side one in I can press the gas pedal down about an inch before it hits the mat and stops.

Overall love the lights. Worth the buy I think.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Painting some eyelids on or using vinyl.

I don't know if someone corrected you on this yet, as I haven't even read page 2. But the top bar "eyebrow" I believe is LED no matter what GEN lights you have.

The 2nd Gen plug and Plays... the HALO RING is CCFL type lighting... where as 1 and 2nd gen is LED Halos.

How is there not a company that makes these Halo Eye style projectorz in the United States? Why do we have to get the different "Gens" off of E bay?

I would gladly pay $500 for some BMW quality CCFL Halo Eye Projector lights.

I bought mine in May and within a week both of the straight tubes burnt out. Then just this morning I was at a light and noticed in the reflection on the rear door of the SUV in front of me that the passenger halos were out... So out of 6 CCFL tubes 4 have burnt out in 3 months... I'm going to pull them apart to color match them and do away with the CCFL tubes. I really just wanted a set of projectors so that I could go HID... I am a little pissed tho.

Yeah...I'd be upset too if my stuff went out. I hope it doesn't. I feel good with the seller that I bought mine from. He had good ratings and great communication. I'm going to put HIDs in...99% because they look good, and also because they won't burn my lenses. Should I put a different bulb for high beams? I don't use them much...but if I do, I don't want to run the risk of burning my lenses.

Depends on where you get it from & what company. You can go brand name & pay a couple hundred or go Ebay and pay about 60-100$.

Personally, I'm going to get my HID kit from eBay. I've talked to some people on here about a specific one that I want, and they all say they haven't had any problems with it. Just get something that's plug and play.
