so i plan on getting some gen 2 projectors with some hids from DDM tuning and was woundering when you install the HIDs how does the halos get power if you hook up the HIDs to the factory harness? is there two plugs, one goes to the HID ballast and one to the Projectors? Just woundering cause i want the Halos to still light up with the HIDs withought having to do any wire splicing.

 

These are the worst projector headlight made. CUtoff line is embarassing, and theres no fix for it. Some variations of this headlight have wiring thats all freaking crazy, with 2 black boxes that are used to supply power tot he CCFL lights. Just not a good choice in headlight. Stock headlights with HID's put light where you want it to go better then these headlights. High beams are absolutely terrible on these lights. You cant just have high beams on because they are angled high and dont actually put light anywhere, So when your driving and need them on you have to hold that turn signal back so your lows and highs are on at the same time. Its rediculous. Its like a small handheld flashlight in front of you. I initially thought the eyebrow on top was cool, but it quickly wore off. If your buying projectors so that you can have cool halos and you can put HID's in, I would look elsewhere.

My Gen2's didnt come with a Lightbar, i feel kinda jipped, but at the same time, i think it looks sick without it.
But, my Driver's side halos are having issues, and i've discovered its that little black box outside the headlights that's F'd up.
Anyone know where i'd be able to get a replacement?

 

Yeah it's the inverters that went bad. You can get something like these to replace them:

Both of my light bars went out and then one ring went out so I unplugged everything a couple months ago. I went out last night and plugged them back in and all halos work now...but no light bar. I'm waiting to get those exact inverters in so I can replace mine.
