How is there not a company that makes these Halo Eye style projectorz in the United States? Why do we have to get the different "Gens" off of E bay?

I would gladly pay $500 for some BMW quality CCFL Halo Eye Projector lights.
actually, the bar and the halos are CCFL. i should know lol.. i own them. if they worked like they were supposed to.. they would be sweet..

Can you replace the bar or halos if they went out?

I know one person that has this kit...anyone else? Will this work with 2nd gens? Let me know because I plan on getting these (or a similar kit if these won't work today). Also...am I right to get the H7 kit? Thanks guys!

It stands for Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp. They are MUCH brighter than regular halos. Just type in CCFL projector cobalt in an eBay search and you'll find some information on them. Some articles say 3 times brighter and others say 4 times brighter than regular halos. The HID system that is listed above is actually pretty good. I know a few guys on here that have it and love it. Plus it comes with a 2 year warranty.

Exactly...and 1st and 3rd gens. are NOT plug and play. 2nd gens are the only ones that are true plug and play.

CCFL lighting is what is used to light LCD screens; flat panel (non-plasma) and laptops etc. It is generally a very reliable technology that has been around for many years. I can only assume the problems seen with the 2nd Gens are directly due to a lack of quality...

I would say put HIDs in them. They burn much cooler than a halogen.

Nice man! What color did you get? I got 8000k. I'm sure all the HID kits on eBay are about the same. The link above is the one I'm getting, and it comes with a 2 year warranty!!!

There has got to be something about the cheap HID kits thats not up to par with the more expensive ones. Im not saying they are fake, im saying that are they gonna break right after the 2 year so called warranty is up?

better not stick HID in stocks or you morph into a ricer.

Yeah...don't put HIDs into stock housing...it'll be way too bright...and blind other drivers. Get some projectors. I'll post some pictures when I get mine in. The ballast is usually mounted under the headlight bracket.

I have to re-wire mine some, halo LED's keep burning out, so I think I'm going to wire them from another power source (switched) and see how it goes.

you just got to keep the led wires from touching metal. that is how I shorted mine

I understand that, mine don't....they just slowly burn out and I'm tired of them doing that, I had to replace one set so many times I broke of the prongs, had to cut them both off and solder wires on. Still haven't installed it yet. It's really pissing me off.

Just thought, I know when they come from the company all the LED's are wired together, well I was thinking since there all wired together it's drawing to much current, so I might split them up individually 12V and wire something up, so maybe it will cut back on some of the amps being pulled??? I dunno I'll try anything right now.
