Well I have had my ss/sc for almost a month now, have done little to no highway driving, and already have rock chips. Also, I have a spot on my hood, about 3 inches around, where the clear coat has somehow messed up...you can see it in the sunlight. Am I the only one experiencing this?

Do our cars some with some kind of paint/clear coat warranty? Because this is effin ridiculous...

 

I have a 17 inch streak under my clearcoat on my hood that has been there since day 1. I also have two small rock chips on my hood.

I am debating taking it in for paint warranty

 

Take that **** in on warranty.

 

i have a random story lol.. soo i was cleaning my car the other day and theres this hugeee circle mark.. i thought it was like a white like i dunno sumthing white.. it turned out that it was just a shadow lol! yay

 

what kind of warranty is it? whats covered, how long, etc...?

 

If you have had it less than 1 month it sure is worth a try. If they determine that there is a defect in the clearcoat they SHOULD cover it. Good luck.

3 year or 36,000 mile (60,000 kms) warranty bumper-to-bumper. Paint defects are part of the regular warranty.

 

would rock chips be covered under that????

 

probably not b/c a rock chip is not a paint defect. thats like asking the dealership to fix ur paint cuz u got keyed

 

well hopefully the spot on the hood can be fixed at least

 

make a naturalized design over a rock chip/ key mark and be like.. **** this paint blows the... and be like go ahead and fix it !

 

the clear coat on our cars is garbage imo.
