Dashboard swap

I have an in to get a chevy cruze dash assembly for a reasonable price of $1800. Would i be able to have it installed in my 07 SS/SC? I realize custom work would have to be done, but would everything function properly? Im just curious here so anyone with custom work experience please give some advice.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... How can we honestly answer this lol.

The electronics are probably entirely different and are wired completely different than an SS/SC.

Dimensions? would it even physically fit? would the dash be way to big/far back?

and finally why not just a freaking cruze instead? lol they arent that expensive. by the time your done paying to get your cruze dash fitted and working your looking at a 1/3 of the cost of the cruze.

not to mention you would have to do the door panels/a pillars and practically everything else on the inside of the car to make it look good/flow at all.

I have a feeling the cruze dash's demensions would be horribly off and would take an absolute **** ton of work to fit.

Also are the plastics used the same as out door panels? if not that would be another thing to make it look shitty.

People can barely swap pre-07 electronics with 07+ electronics within Cobalts and still get them to work. You're just asking for a major headache trying to do this. If you could pick it up for a hundred bucks, it might not be a bad idea, but $1500 for something that probably isn't feasible, forget it.

Unless you want to do a LOT of custom fiberglassing and wrapping, this isn't even possible. The dashes are completely different sizes, shapes, not to mention the door panels will look retarded alongside this. You would just end up making a small interior feel even smaller.

I'll pay you the $1800 you are going to spend and you take that money to help buy a new Cruze....then you give me your ss/sc for that $1800 since I helped you out so much.

LMFAO!!! You guys are hillarious. Its good to have constructive criticism. I thought of a new idea! How about guage clusters?LOL JK I just wondered what would it would look like, but you all made valid points. BTW it does look pretty good( Pic ) that was put up! Im just bored of the plain dash area. I guess ill just do the radio mod. I have lots of different colored gel's from my club lighting. At least i could do that myself and make the radio and h vac controls red to match. Would it be hard to do the doors?(Switches)

Hey - call me a beyatch, but I'm all for your idea! I've seen later-gen Camaro consoles/dashes fit into earlier ones (took a hella lotta mods to do it, too), plus I've seen nav systems that had no right being in a first-gen firebird, all done with some creative fiberglass extensions. and they came out drop-dead gorgeous.

The worst part of the Cobalt is the hideously-rental-car interior. Any attempt to modernize the only attempt at "Honda" in our cars is a welcome attempt, methinks.
