Dual Projector Retrofit
That gate has to be hard to aim on. Find something a little more solid lol. I still think you could have gotten more light output out an DS2 bulb, but it's much better than stock so props for that.
I'm gunna redo mine when it gets warmer out. I don't have a garage and I can't make my apartment wreek that bad til I can open the back door and leave it open

heh ya, it's actually a building but with lots of large glass windows right by my house. Now that it's nicer out it will be much easier to get the aiming done. And the output shots look like crap because the projectors were pointing at the ground. Plus the fact I'm working with used bulbs and ballasts might have an effect on the brightness of them?
Anyway, here is a small update. I got an idea for the turn lamps which I really like better. It uses the stock bulb, I'll let you tell me how it looks...

I could do that, but then people head on wouldn't know I was turning... for ex, if two people are turning left at the same intersection...
@redlineblueline - ya I like how it looks as well, which is mostly why I did it in the first place. I was planning on using the frosted lens... is that not a good idea? or is there something better I can use?

I told ya man , Lowes FTW !
Good idea .
So how are u gonna run it now with the new light . 2nd projector=parking light . The housing u made = turnsignal only ?
Word of caution on the that type of lens , the DRL will melt and craze it over time . U pretty much have to use a polycarbonate , its the only thing that will take the heat over time . Pm me , I can point u in the right direction on polycarbonate sheets for cheap . Youd have to have a clear lens though . If u wanted something with a textured lens , head over to the junkyard and buy a taillight off of anything that has enuff clear portion( reverse light section) to cover your project . Should be able to get a tail light off a old beater for 10 bux or so and OEM lenses are polycarbonate .
Lookin good man

Thanks Silver, I am a huge fan of yours, so I appreciate the praise... and thanks again for your help.
So this new housing I made will retain stock features of the bulb... DRL and turn signal. Halogen projector is still planned to be park light and now I might switch the 2500k for a 5000ish K bulb.
Thanks for the advice there, I am thinking I will hit up a junkyard and find something, mostly cause it's satisfying to find stuff there
.
Do you think a clear or amber lens would look good on the new housing, considering I also have the amber side marker in the close vicinity

ug, final month of school is never fun. It's crunch time and I'm feeling the pressure a bit here so very little time to work on this project in the next 3-4 weeks after which I should be able to bang them off. I am waiting for a lens and some shrouds anyhow.
Here are a few pics of when I got the final aiming on my passenger lamps:
Halogen Park Lamp:

Bi-xenon (showing better color and brightness, not 100%)

Bi-xenon (aimed) as well as Halogen Projector:

Lights with bezel mocked up:

Quite a difference...
