Help Me Please... First Gen Paint Problems

Ok... I made a mistake when I was painting my headlights... What is the best way to go back down to the bare plastic??? Also, what is a good color to paint them if my car is Victory Red???

is it best to sand it down or would something like paint thinner melt the plastic? I am planning on repainting them a dark charcoal color I think, since that is the same that I plan to do my wheels.

yes thinner will probably melt or distort the plastic. Go to autozone and pick up a gray 3m scotch brite pad. Scuff them, clean and repaint.

You could try it in a small spot. not too sure. Best way is just to scuff em down and respray.

I would just sand them down to be safe, go with a heavy grit like 400 then work up in grits to about 1000!

If theirs no imperfections that you need to fix, scuff, clean, repaint is all you gotta do
