Talking Just painted my bowtie [Pics]

I just painted my bowtie last night took 3hrs worth of work! but worth it. I had no painting experience before this so bear with me
Just put it back on today What do you guys think?







Edit: Credits to this guide I used. I could not of done it with out it.

Thank you I was surprised at my self. It came out WAY better then hoped. I use the guide I found on here for painting bowties I did everything down to the T.

yea it's just time consuming , it's not really that hard !! , i painted over the chrome on mine , only because i was going all black on my 06 LT !!

Thx. You going from red and chrome to black and chrome? Would look good on your car and would go with your grill nicely. imo

Very time consuming! I was thinking about doing that, that trimming is a real bitch if your a noob (did not have fun with that!)! lol
all black looks sick as well but chrome trim means more work . Glad I went with chrome trim because the rims I plan on getting are gunmedal (black and chrome) so would look sick once I get some rims and would match .

Is it possible to remove and paint the bowtie in the back? (I want to do that next if possible)

Looks good man! But, 3 HOURS??? lol thats dedication to your bowtie! It took my buddy dana about 30 minutes or so. Good job though.

yeah,it was 30 min to paint my buddies bowtie, and paint 3 trunk key locks black, with clear coat

thx man,I did it layer by layer let each layer dry before the next layer, that's why it took so long

Yea its glued on so I got get some glue or 3M doubled side tape to put it back on.

I painted mine without removing it. Just get some quality automotive tape and use a LOT of newspaper to protect the entire back and top of the car from overspray. I taped off the chrome and shot the emblem with duplicolor victory red and when it dried fully I put on a couple of clearcoats and buffed it out with white polish.



chrome Alteezas just to be different......

only 13 on this site (according to the color poll)

so....rare-ish that im modding one.

i see alot on the 4dr's and some 2dr's
