Need opinion on repairing scratches..

So i backed into a pole the other night, stupid, and thought the damage would be horrible. Turned out most of it was paint, so I cleaned all of it off and was left with some deep scratches(through the red paint) and small chips on the valence piece. MY question is..whats the best solution to covering up deep scratches and/or chips (victory red) I already use normal Meguirs wax and it took out most of the small surface scratches.. I'll probly replace the rear bumper soon so more than likely if it's unfixable, but im sure it is, i'll leave it be, don't want to pay for repainting...

If you got all of the tools ie air compressor, paint gun, breather, paint booth. 2000 grit sand paper, paint, clear coat, cutting and polishing compound, Then you can DIY. I have done it and fixed a riped and dented from bumper on a Honda civic but it was a lot of work and was abo0ut $200 if supplies. If the deep scratches do not go into the primer then you could get away with light light 2500 and then polishing compound then maguiers scratch fix then heavy was and it will look good at 20 feet and 20 miles per hour. I call it the 20/20 fix.

If by reading this if you are still interested then do some more studying on the hole auto body paint thing.

Also it is vary important to paint the bumper or anything else off of the car because over spray is a pain to remove. also practice on some cardboard before you do the real thing.

Some victory red touch up paint and Mothers California Gold Paint Chip Repair Kit might be what you're looking for, red is a good color to touch up and if done correctly it should look good enough for you.

I am a perfectionist, however, i'm looking for a temporary fix until probly dec or early next year. I think i'll go with the victory red touch up kit, just to hide it a little, I don't want to spends hundreds to repaint 2 little chips
