I dont know if anyone else will have this problem but the passenger side ccfl light was the hardest to get in, it took me 30 minuites to try and position it in there properly.

It takes me that long for the driver side stock light.

Got mine installed with both low beam and high beam HIDs. I think the quality of the actual headlights is amazing. They are very solid and well-built. Much better than the old projectors. I do have one complaint about them. The new projector lenses are not as good as the old ones. It's not a great cut-off with the HIDs. There's a good amount of glare, the cut-off isn't sharp, and there are hot spots. I'll probably try to take them apart and fit new projector assemblies into the lights.

Sorry, but can't post pics here. The server I used is blocked here.

For anyone taking new pics ......we have plenty of close ups now Please take some from a distance showing the entire car . A good frontal and a good 3/4 frontal . We all know what a clean Cobalt looks like and understand its winter ....who cares if your car is covered in salt and filth

N/M I saw the other thread

It would be cool to try a retro fit on the projector . It looks like a 2.5" lens , so low beam projectors from somthing like a Audi A4 or TT might work well . Not sure what else uses a 2.5 projector .

No, I already have them posted on my own server. Long story.

Anyway, I have pics from far away of the entire car. I also have a really good pic of the cut-off.

I think I'm going to do a little research on finding projectors that will fit in these. I'd like to retrofit a good set designed for DS2 bulbs.

The cut off isnt gonna get better than that . Theres clearly not a z-type shroud in the projector housing .

you can't even have them like flatter so they don't rise up on the right?

so i guess you just have to buy better projectors to make them work.. but then the lights are 400 bux total or so

its a e-code cut off pattern. its what a lot of the bmw's come with.

they need to come down quite a bit. i dont like how the upslant is curved like, the color though is impeccable, but Razor sharp over color ANY DAY!

No they cant . Thats just how the ECE sheilds in the projectors are .

The top is "similar" to how the new projectors are sheilded . The bottom is the typical Z pattern sheild .

if the projects are similar in style, you could possibly try swapping shields, but thats a long shot...
