I beleive its part and parcel to do with the DRLs. My car during the day have the side markers (amber lights) on then at night the headlights come on. So I would asume with the plug and play wiring for those that they come on when the daytime DRLs come on. Or if you are not using the auto light feature you can on there own turn on the park lights or amber lights which would turn on the halos and LEDs.

cheers and just a thought.

I have an 07 and i dont wanna leave my hids runnin. If i pull out my DRL fuse, will that turn off everything or just the hids? I want it so just my halos and leds are my DRLs.

The DRL's on the 2007 are different then 2005 and 2006. The DRL's on the 07 are the headlights themselves. You just pull the DRL fuse and you are good to go. On the 05 and 06 the signal lights on the front are the DRL's, so you have no need to pull the DRL fuse.

I know that but my question is will the halos and leds on the new projectors still light up as DRLs?

No. I have removed the DRL fuse from my car. All I do is press the fog light button and this is what I get:

The fog lamps, and the park lamps....which lights up the halos and the led's on the projectors.

Well if you are running the halogens in your projectors......just leave the DRL light in. Even then though you will only have the light coming out of your projector, and not have the halos on....unless you rewire it.

But if you are putting in HID's, you will need to take the DRL fuse out so that you do not burn out the HID's quuickly.

How To APPROVED!!!!

hey lp.. i got a question.. you didnt have to drill a groove in these to fit the return leads for the hid bulbs right? and also, do they fit without a problem? im going to want to have the return lead on the bottom so i dont get the shadows on the ground.

Nope drilling required. Just make sure when you buy the HID's that the return lead is on the same side as the tab on the H7's. They fit without a problem.

They will, but you might get a little shadow on the ground. I am not too sure though since my return lead is on the bottom with the tab.

I bought mine from a company in Calgary.

As for returning the halos.....that is expected with a NEW product. Some of us have to be guinea pigs with these and some are going to get good ones and others will not. So don't be scared because one person is returning their halos because of a problem.

The halos on my new black ccfl projectors are working fine. just takes a bit for them to start up. I thought there was something wrong but when I started my car they came on completely.
