There's a good amount of glare, the cut-off isn't sharp, and there are hot spots. I'll probably try to take them apart and fit new projector assemblies into the lights.

Sorry, but can't post pics here. The server I used is blocked here.
How bad is the glare?

Yes they are SUPER bright, the CCFLs, its hard to capture in a picture without proper focus. You can clearly see the halos with your naked eye from a fair distance:

That's not the aiming that you're seeing. As other people stated, it's an E-code cut-off pattern which is horizontal and then slanted. The passenger side is a tad lower, but they are aimed otherwise to spec.

You can see a fair amount of glare in the pic that I posted on EF. But the worst issue is with the light output. There are quite a few "hot spots" which means that the output isn't evenly dispersed at all. After driving it tonight, I'm definitely going to have to take them apart and fit new projectors into the lights.

That sucks about the hotsopts. I really want to get these but not if I am going to be dissapointed by the light output.

I would like to point out while the construction is a little more sturdy, they still leak as bad as the old style and would highly recommend putting a bead of caulking in before the first install..

Here is two shots of what it looks like aimed.. Well... We tried at least. I think I might be blinding people as I pass them on the left lol. I'll be getting HIDs soon to replace the halogens, big props to denlou for helping with the install and going to do the HID retrofit. As mentioned above, it is a different light pattern. not the "z style" but more like a "_/" style and it keeps going up.

It runs with your DRLs/Parking lights.
They are always on.

They look dead sexy I think. Way better than I imagined. I actually thought they weren't going to look too good, I wanted them anyway because not many have them.

And all the local modders have the other pair around here. I need to stand out!

It turned out WAY better than I thought. Black housing is definitely the way to go.

Everything is prewired.. Direct plug and play into your stock harness!!

Only issue I had was that I was unsure if the Halos were working. They took about 5 hours to get up to full strength. Now every time I turn them on they go to full strength (just like HIDs I guess. First time just needs to set everything up.)

They are REALLLY bright. They give me enough light without the headlights on, gives me my short distance light, thats how bright they are.

Again, big thanks to denlou for helping with the install and aiming them.

I'd say use the How-To on how to paint your headlights, it'll probably be very similar. Keep in mind, you may need to change the process slightly as the housing is a little different.

Don't ask me though because I've never painted headlight housings before :-P.

A few people at G5C have painted their headlights.. PursuitGT painted his yellow, same paint code.

Looks good. Just his stock lights though.
