Official Plasti Dip Thread?
No at what point did I say plastidip scratched my hood? And it left pits in my hood. And in response to why a black plastidip a hood on a car that's already black. I had a couple cans and wanted to see if I liked the look ofthe matte black in person on my car . I was just testing it. Wtf is everyone's problem? Attacking me?

Hmmm. So I simply cleaned my hood and sprayed it directly out of the aerosol spray can onto my hood and let it set up several hours and peeled it off and it left gray specs that when I cleaned off actually left little pits in the clear coat on my hood I'm failing to see how I caused that. As I stated I have used it previously on a rim and did not have any issues. Explain to me if I did something wrong with the can because I simply sprayed it like you would a can of spray paint. I didn't in any way open the can and alter its chemical makeup. I even shook it up vigorously and made sure the can was warm and sprayed it in a heated garage. So I don't see how I was bashing the product or even asked to be bashed on myself. I thought this was a thread for sharing experiences wih plasti dip. If this isn't point me to the right thread.....
This is the right thread. A couple of questions should be cleared up first, Joe:... Is the clear coat on your hood/car original clear that came from the factory with the car? If not, how fresh is the clear? What quality? There was a guy a while back who sprayed his freshly painted Audi if i recall correctly and it screwed up his clear coat...
Yeah I had thought of that. Its not freshly painted and the car had been wrecked and repaired before ever bought it. So they could have used a cheaper clear or something. I've owned the car for over a year now. I was simply sharing my experience and it was a little frustrating. Kind like if your not here to help then shut up kinda thing. I've done autobody and paint work and know about cure times and such for paints especially 2k clears.

Lol all I was saying is I've had that happen to me, peeled it off and it left tiny specs everywhere hood was very rough to the touch, couldn't actually really see them.
All it needed was a good ok clay bar and it pulled all those lil specs off. Now without me actually being there n seeing it, I can speculate on wether or not the left dimples afterwards. But I highly doubt they did, as 1000s of ppl ise the product n ove never herd of anything similar happening and it was just the dimples u had. Which again, come off easily with a clay bar
hey guys haven't posted on the forum in a while but after a month long order with dipyourcar i finally have all of the supplies to dip the balt matte white. Can't wait pics to come very soon
That.
That purple is gay....and I have dip on my wheels for almost a year and it came off.....and where I live the weather reaches 100 degrees all the time. Hell it was 101 the other day lol.
