How often are you planning on chilling with your hood and doors open?
I've had my car dipped for almost 6 months and I hardly even notice the white door jambs.
Not worth the hassle IMHO because trying to peel all that tape while the dip is still wet would be a serious chore.

I think i would notice red door jambs when my exterior is anthracite. White wouldnt be bad since its not vibrant, but red stands out too much

Hows the dip holding up anyway?

You can give it a go then. Taping and peeling under the hood and those jambs is just going to be a major PITA.

Dip is holding up ok. Theres a couple spots that I've screwed up doing stupid stuff but other than that it's been good.
Door handles are starting to peel a bit but I feel that's pretty much inevitable.

Mine is just standard matte.
My next full dip will be a 50/50 mix of matte clear and glossifier with pigment mixed in though.
Hopefully happening in the next month or so. Just need to decide on a color...

I got the Earlax 3500 system form DYC which is the one they were selling at the time. I upgraded this past black friday to the new DYC system.
Gun worked really well other than one tiny little hole getting plugged up with dry dip.
The new system is much improved though so I would recommend getting it if you can't get your gun to work.

I most likely will since its built for spraying dip. If ur looking for suggestions, i like the light blue dip with the black tint. Makes a nice deep blue that would look great with a gloss finish

That light blue and black mix is essentially whats on my car right now actually haha. 3 gallons light blue with 1/2 gallon of black mixed in.
I've tested out a few pearl colors and I've got it narrowed down to these two I think.

Agreed that first one is awesome.

I got the Wagner sprayer from Home Depot for this job, looking forward to using it. We can use it to paint the house too so my father went 50/50 on it
