Painted Blower?

So im about to go out and take my blower off cuz im getting my pulley put on tomorrow but i figured while it was off i could paint it.

However I know one of the guys up here has a polished one and his temps went up.
Do i have to worry about that with the paint?

Also should i tape off the areas where its open?

You could just leave the blower on and just mask surrounding areas of the engine bay and make sure you use some paint that can transfer heat; don't know what it is called but you can get some at Advanced auto parts or Auto Zone should have some. I think anyway

really, painting a blower is a performance mod?

Is that like stickers adding HP?

no it doesn't add performance but i know polishing a blower hinders performance so i question if paint would do the same.

k.thx.bye.

seriously, painting may not be the good thing to do, but if you are looking into get sponsors and going to shows; the painting and decals help. Just shows the company you are willing to promote there product. I do see a lot of Honda owners out in La Crosse that have the V-Tec badge or Type-R badge on there cars and have no modes what so ever except the fart cannon on it. Add looks if your going for show stuff. Otherwise if your the street kinda guy just add the performance and keep it original. I went with the sponsors and they require you to have the decals on both sides on the car. Oh well that is the way it goes. IMO

Ive heard if you spray it with Rhinolining it will reduce temps by 57.9%

Have you guys ever heard the statistic that 99% of all statistics are made up?
