right ive herd good things about spec b as a company and with their HID kits but idk for what that is at that price i mean cant be up to par with OEM projector setups. Its gonna be worlds better then PnP hid in the reflector thou

thats what i'm thinkin emperor..

for those that want better quality than hid bulbs in stock housings. but get less quality for a HUGE amount less price than retrofits or aftermarket lights.

Gawd, one would hope - want to shoot out every "hid in the stock reflector" I see

Interesting idea - bake the lenses off, insert projector in the bulb hole, reseal lenses, plug in and go - almost sounds too easy

Shame they don't ship to - got to be someone else on the web who does. For the price it's worth the gamble, and if it doesn't work out, just remove them and put the stock bulbs back.

Ummm. Shocked to be the first person to say this I had to check the date and make sure this post wasnt from like 2007.

These are a **** knock off of Morimoto H1 projectors. And they are NOT PNP with cobalts, for any retro you have to trim the bulb holder slightly, not a big deal though.

I would never get these over Morimoto's though, they are the same thing threaded collar works great thats what I have.

I sort of retract this statement, I was hot to troll until i saw the $75 price tag! whaaat

That's not a bad price at all. I'm curious as to how they look in opposition to true retrofits. I'm sure they are not as good, but the down time for install being that minimal it may become a viable option for those wanting bixenon lights without the down time of a full retrofit.

I've heard gen 4s were between then the first 3. I can only speak on what I've seen and what I have, but I know gen 1s and gen 3s suck for output with hids.

meh, these are the same as the G1 and G3 projectors that were sold by Buyhids originally, they're just up to G5. IMO the G3's SUCKED. it wasn't worth the money, and no you didn't need to make much of a modification, but IIRC you still have to grind off the pilot tabs that hold the Halogen bulb in the correct position in the reflector.

Cliff note: IMO Suck, spend the extra and buy the Morimotos. IIRC BUYHIDs is having GB till the end of the month for $200 bucks

^^that may be true, but i think im settling on these projectors. reasons being, i like the cutoff, supposedly easy to work with, good options on them when ordering, the have a different look to em, and plus i like going against the crowd. placing my order with 8000k hids, and white ccfls. one or two other little goodies going along with it
